Ignorant fans

Recommended Posts

it seems to me that every place I attempt to talk Panther football the fans are dumb as hell.

Facebook has a site up now, filled with obscenities about trading for Micheal Bolton, or bring in T.O. now!

The board on ESPN is a joke, even in casual conversations most people have no idea what they are talking about.

This site is truly the only place with comprehendable opinions. Even if some of the posts are from left feild.

I just want a chance to say thank you.

How in God's name is Michael Bolton?

...The singer?

I love that one song............whats it called again?

Oh, and his girlfriend is hot....Whatshername. The one from Desperate Housewives. Actually they have probably broken up but I don't pay much attention to Hollywood unless it is movies.

Speaking of Hollywood I can't wait to see Iron Man 2 and The Last Airbender. Those are going to be awesome!

I just tried to talk to the guys at sirius nfl radio tonight and my call got cut off. The gods just don't want informed panthers disscussion.

I got in how I thought I was sad to see Hoover go, how I didn't think they should have traded Harris, and then got cut.

I wanted to get in my whole shtick about how I feel like we'll make the playoffs when Clausen starts because we rank so low in passing attempts every year.

SorthNarolina....It's better that you didn't expose the secret of our under-the-radar awesomeness. We will sneak up and pounce on the rest of the NFL.

Even the ESPN/NFL/etc analysts' are misinformed about the Panthers. I can't tell you how many videos I see of these guys who are so completely misinformed about the Panthers that you'd think they haven't done a bit of research. I mean come the f**k on, you're paid ridiculous amounts of money to discuss football, is it that hard to do some research before you run your mouth?

The most common thing I hear about the Panthers is how "they lost Peppers and didn't replace him, their defense will be terrible!"

    • Yes.  And this converts directly to confidence.  Does the coach have confidence to call a deep dig or seam route?  Does Bryce have confidence in his ability to be the Alpha?  Do his teammates have confidence.  About film--when I see Cam Newton's pre-snap confidence vs. Bryce's, it is night and day.   Film--tells you if the WRs are open (why l love watching the Replay telecasts from the end zone cameras--you can see it.  I have seen 2 WRs open and Bryce's eyes are on the outlet WR or the pass rush. )  You can see progressions, and he has improved a bit--but he is very quick to rush through 1 and 2 and checkdown--that is a lack of confidence in his ability to read the defense.  I had a former NFL TE (Deems Maye) who played QB in high school (not sure about college) tell me that the best QBs read the defense by knowing where everyone will be when the ball is to arrive--not where they are.  I think his QB at the time was Humphries.  He said that Humphries would throw the ball into coverage before the cuts etc.  because he understood DB momentum, zone areas, etc.  and he could just see it.  Said so when people say nobody was open, they are usually right because nobody should be "open" when the QB has the ball--when the ball arrives, everyone should be open.  He said Humphries was never "great" but his skills were limited--from a small school--but his ability to read a defense made him never give up on a route.

    • Mustard BBQ sauce only. Bessingers or Melvin's BBQ sauce.  However Bessingers is the best in the world, Melvin is 2nd.    I found this article    In fact, the New York Times Magazine described the sauce as “terrifically balancing the tangs of mustard and vinegar with a wood fire's charry flavor.” While helping his dad, Joseph “Big Joe” Bessinger, as a teenager in the kitchen of the family's first restaurants, Thomas learned the secret recipe for the gold sauce – ... https://www.bessingersbbq.com › t...
