The official Dwayne Jarrett bandwagon

Recommended Posts

count me in. always liked jarrett. i hope he shines this year. one more chance boy. panthers never gave him a chance and delhomme just sucked. i hope he shined like vernon davis last year. giving him the fourth season. jarrett + smith + lafell + edwards + gettis = super bowl panthers.

No way. I don't care if he had a bad QB throwing him the ball. He had THREE seasons and never showed anything. Sure, he made some nice catches occasionally, but he was also invisible most of the time he was on the field. And I don't buy this crap about Delhomme not wanting to throw him the ball. In three seasons you have to average more than 11 catches even as the third receiver. Hell, they started Kenny Moore over him at one point. We drafted three receivers for one reason and one reason only--to find a #2 for Smitty. That means that Jarrett is not that #2.

I find it hard to believe that Lafell isn't already as good as Jarrett. He'll be better than Jarrett by Week 1.

I find a lot of your statements flawed.

First off, I don't get how you can justify that he hasn't shown anything when the ball never goes his way. Furthermore, he has caught everything that was thrown his way. The thing about the bad QB that threw his way is that the bad QB was targeting one receiver and one receiver only and that was Steve Smith. Even Moose wasn't getting as many touches as Smitty has gotten. When Moore came in, he balanced out the passing game and giving more opportunities to guys like Jarrett and Kenny Moore.

2nd, in regards to Kenny Moore starting over Jarrett; I honestly believe they kept switching between receivers based on strategy and the strengths of their opponent. Moore possesses better speed then Jarrett while Jarrett is more stronger then Moore visa versa.

Now, in regards to all the receivers being drafted, well, it's called competition. I take it that since they drafted Clausen and Pike means that Moore is automatically out based on your statement right? No, it just mean that Fox wants competition. Doesn't mean that Jarrett isn't the #2, just means that he is in competition.

So conclude, how about waiting until after Pre-season to make judgements?

IMHO Dwayne Jarrett finally has his breakout year in 2010.

I know, I am beating a dead horse here, but......

With a new QB (not Delhomme) throwing him the ball I think it is finally his time to shine.

I am going out on a ledge here and could look really stupid if we drop Jarrett befor the season.

But this......... finally.......... is his year!

I am on board. Several Huddlers have been saying DJ is on his way out of Carolina, i disagree. People forget that WR's take time to develop. Many times they have their first really productive season their third year. DJ's development has been hindered by "Mr.Bojangles" ineptitude. With him in Cleveland now, DJ WILL BREAKOUT.
