Moore or less

Typical Yas garbage.

Moore is not the QB by default. He is the starter based on his 4-1 record....based on his 8-1 TD vs Int ratio. He played excellent ball late last season and has earned to be the #1 guy going into camp.

Calusen WILL NOT beat out Moore......and Moore WILL lead the Panthers to the Playoffs this season. with no worse than a 10-6 record.

Actually he IS the QB by default, and a very good QB at that. Jake went down, McCown was on the IR, so Moore was the only option and was the only option until we drafted Clausen. Moore will definitely start, but Yas is 100% correct in saying that if we have a piss poor record by the Bye...Jimmy WILL get his shot.

This is the most telling thing in that article...

But keep one thing in mind, even as you ponder that whole concept of fairness and loyalty. Moore really isn’t Fox and Hurney’s guy.

Clausen isn't either, yet, but they aren't behind Moore like they were Jake.

I feel bad for Matt. He's a great guy and a solid QB but he's about to have a mountain's worth of pressure dumped in his lap.

Clausen will be signed on a five year deal for cheap. Moore will be afree agent next year and if he plays well will want top money. We might go with Clausen because he is cheap. If not now, then definitely after this season. That is how we are rolling these days.

Bingo. Sad but truth

Clausen will be a nice bargaining chip for trying to swindle Moore out of earned $, but someone is going to be willing to pay the big bucks for a solid QB if he pans out this year. Shame we won't be able to at least trade him for a 1st rounder

One season does not dictate forever.

I wouldn't base future predictions on this year.

Makes no sense to pay a premium when you have a potential great quarterback on the bench. With Richardson putting off all the signings it will come down to a numbers game. We can't sign everyone. If Moore wants a 5 year deal for 50 million which is standard for a starting quarterback, then why not sign and trade him like NE did Cassell and simply put Clausen in there who is cheap.

The only way we go back to the old way of business is if we fall flat on our faces this year. Otherwise Richardson can simply replace all the veterans, reduce the payroll and still have a winning season.
