also think he will contribute on more than special teams but the fact that he can do more than one thing is what i like, and the panthers seem to draft alot of multi postion players over the last couple of drafts

Norwood is becoming the Hilee Taylor of 09 on here.

Last time we got a bunch of UNC fans claiming on how Taylor would be the bomb digity. He made the team at least. Didn't really do much with it. I think he got a sack in a regular season game, I can't remember.

Now we have a bunch of USC fans hyping Norwood a good bit. He's a 4th round pick, I think people need to calm down a little bit. At least wait until TC and preseason to see what he's got. If he starts playing well in the regular season then maybe it's acceptable to have a mancrush on him.

in norwoods defense .. nobody ever heard of hilee taylor before we drafted him .. norwood was always on espn whenever south carolina was talked about as a matter of fact he is the only one they talked about aside from head coach .. mix that in with all time records for tackles for loss and sacks at carolina and lets see how it plays out

i think he will be a situational pass rusher. i love his intensity. i like how he hits guys, and tries to hurt them, instead of just using his arms to pull them down like peppers used to do.

hes quick too. i hope he is quick enough for the tackles at the next league.

id like to see him as a blindside pass rusher if at all possible to exercise his quickness

I'm not trying to make direct comparisons between the two players. I'm just pointing out the same kind of situation we're in. A hometown guy with many established fans recieveing a lot of attention based on nothing.

I'm not saying he's bad or anything. I just think some people's imaginations are running wild due to their time watching him in college. The normal skepticism of rookies is skewed when it comes to the hometown guys.

I'm saying it now Norwood is a threat too JA, JW, and DC in this SLB competition. This kid made play after play after play in the SEC against alot of guys who play on Sunday. JA and the rest better step it up or Norwood will make them back-up.

Nobody ever said Hilee Taylor was the bomb. We just said that he was better than the so called "Predator", and he was. I can't even remember the Predators real name anymore, but I do remember that he couldn't play in the NFL even though he played in the mighty SEC.

Norwood is clearly better than both of them though.
