for those w/ no idea what I'm talking about:

The Carolina Panthers "Panthers in the Park" event will provide fans the opportunity to meet over 30 Carolina Panthers players, meet finalists for the 2010 TopCats cheerleading squad and enjoy family-oriented activities, including the Play 60 Kids Combine and a variety of contests.

Live entertainment will be provided by Mick and the Ultras and members of the Panthers drum line.

The event is Tuesday, May 4 from 5-8 p.m. on the soccer fields at Freedom Park, 1900 East Blvd.

Admission is free.

Players will sign autographs at designated signing stations. Fans may bring their own items to be signed. In consideration of others, only one item per fan is permitted. Team pictures will be provided for player autographs as well.

"There is always a great deal of excitement surrounding the Carolina Panthers mini-camp. 'Panthers in the Park' will provide fans the chance to meet many of their favorite players once mini-camp concludes this coming weekend," said Riley Fields, Carolina Panthers director of community relations.

I stopped by, it was mostly geared towards kids - they had a "combine" area setup where kids could kick FG's, run the 40, run passing routes (ball thrown by Kenny Moore), etc.

I left before the defensive players arrived, offensive players I saw were:

J-Stew

Kenny Moore

Sutton

Gross

Kalil

Rosario

Bernardeau

Schwartz

JJ Jansen

Kasay

The players sat down at tables with long lines to get autographs. Put my name in for a raffle to get 2 free tickets to the first pre-season game and another raffle to win an autographed full sized Panthers helmet.

No pictures this time, forgot my camera :(

Forgot to mention that Otah and Dwayne Jarrett were there as well. Watched Kenny Moore interact with the kids, he was great. Makes me pull for him even more.
