The Eagles

Recommended Posts

Been thinking that all along. Both the Panthers and Eagles are focusing on getting younger and faster and have dumped a lot of players in the off season.

Big difference is that the Panthers have an excellent offensive line, a defense with leadership and strong core, and what looks to be a manageable schedule. Eagles offensive line is a mess, their defense has no real leadership on the field (with numerous holes), and what looks like a brutal schedule.

Eagles will probably miss the playoffs and people will be quick to point out that it is because of getting rid of McNabb, but that will probably be the least of the reasons why.

Not the biggest Eagles fan, but don't the Eagles have a pretty damn HUGE offensive line? I thought that was one of their strong points.

Nah, the Dallas Cowboys defensive line was practically Roethlisbergering McNabb in the playoff game.

I think that you guys will do OK this year, but should have some struggles, jus like I am predicting for the Panthers.

On the D, you do have Bradley and Cole...they may work out in the leadership roles for you.

In the long run both the Panthers and Eagles will probably be just OK this year, but this offseason sets them up for quite a few years down the road.

That is the perspective people need to have for both teams. Take one step back to take two steps forward.

(and I agree Bradley can be a leader, just sucks he never saw the field last year)

Thats the way I am feeling about both teams at this moment.

The only thing that we did as a FO this year that has got me up in arms is giving up next seasons 2nd to get Edwards, but even that is not that big of a deal. (draft could be weak leading up to the shut out, and Edwards could be the real deal).

Both teams have some talent, although I think that the Cats do have a little more throughout than the birds, and both teams are setting themselves up for the long term.
