I still dont understand why people think that McConkey should've been the pick with a proven slot WR (Thielen) already being the most productive receiver on the team.

They needed a big body speed guy and they got him; now, they have to develop him. Insisting that they instead marched out three slot receivers (team still had Mingo at the time) seems incredibly shortsighted.

Google theliens contract and age and let us know what you find out.

Not drafting the better player because you have 33 year old Adam Thielen is silly.

    • Homeboy finished the season in our arch rival’s house… the place that he was straight embarrassed to start his NFL career…  the place where the panthers invent a new way to lose each time… kryptonite central… and dropped a 40 burger on them, while Leading the game winning drive in OT. I’m on record as one of the biggest Bryce doubters around, but damn. The clutch throw after throw after throw…  It glitters, but it’s so hard to feel like this team finally has something nice. Is this gold? The 3rd and 4th down conversions he has dropped dimes on lately feel so uncomfortable, because I’m so conditioned to the QB, WR or both f-ing it up and we gotta punt. 3rd and 8? 4th and 5? Guaranteed punt… but they haven’t been….  Against the 2 teams that are about to play in the SB.  It’s weird. Really weird. It feels flukey, but they keep happening.  44 in the kryptonite dome leading an OT drive FTW that handed the bird a losing season…  Im firmly on the wagon until proven otherwise, and that feels almost nauseating to admit.
    • How is what you're doing helping anything to quell any toxicity? You did this same routine all throughout last offseason and then we opened the season with two of the worst Panthers games in nearly 3 decades and then you promptly slunk away. Maybe we should all just take a chill pill and remember we root for the Carolina Panthers? I don't expect them to be bad next season but I also don't just automatically expect greatness either. If they are to make progress it's going to be gradual and we will all have to be patient. But if we see stinker games then we need to call it as we see it.
    • These aren’t Smitty’s takes, they’re smitty’s. As in the guy that started the thread.
