How much do you miss Jason Richardson??

The problem is that Richardson never was a #1 go-to type of player that the Bobcats needed (and still need IMO) and still isn't known for his defense. He is fantastic as a 3rd option behind Nash/Amare in a high octane offense. I think the Cats have the right guys as a 2 + 3 option (Wallace and Jack) but they've got to find that #1 guy. The problem is, where do you find him with one of the highest profile free agent years in history where lots of teams are going to be competing for the Wades, Lebrons, Johnsons, and Bosh's of the world, and no draft picks?

I don't particularly miss him, he wasn't all that special in Charlotte. Of course with a different set of events, starting with the '08 draft, I think he could have been a piece to the puzzle that would have still gotten us to the playoffs this year.

He plays with Steve Nash now who gets his guys great looks at the basket and jumpshots in their sweet spots. Different set of circumstances here than what they got in Phoenix. Add on that he never really seemed to really want to be here, I'd say no. I'm happy with Jax.

He's a terrific athlete, but like many have said, not a number one option. He plays with one of the best PG's in the leage in a fastbreak offense. Athletes like him can put up numbers in situations like that. It's a great fit for him. He's still very streaky though, and that was the main problem I had with him at Charlotte. He'll go for 40 one night and then shoot 3-20 the next.

    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
    • I'd think we could get one of those from Dallas for... whatever.
