Just saw a green B-17 landing...

John Wayne has an airport named after him?

Yeah, it's in Irvine. It's actually right across the street from my building, kinda. It's a nice little airport and sometimes can be less hassle then LAX even though it's a lil further south.

I had to go to Irvine once. Got a 75 dollar jaywalking ticket trying to cross over to the KFC Taco Bell HQ for lunch.

Irvine can blow me. But the airport is nice.

Wow, that's hefty! I've always wondered how often they write those tickets since it's pedestrians right of way no matter what the condition in the state of CA. That sucks.

Is that the same one as Orange County? Or is that to the north?

I flew out of one of them and because of Noise Abatement laws, it was a wild ride. The plane had to take off and go into a steep climb, then cut the engines over homes.

My ex-finacee and I were going to the last NASCAR race at "The Rock". We stayed in Peachland, SC because she didn't want to drive from Charlotte the day of the race. We passed a little airport around Cheraw, SC and I looked over and there sat a P-51 Mustang! I always wondered if it was Jack Rouch's.

    • They reached for Pickett, so they are not immune to it.  I could see that as well.  I just think the Colts are flying under the radar and they have been too quiet concerning their QB situation--of course, they could think Jones is their guy (they had a good one named Jones a long time ago) but I think they are done with the Richardson experiment.   Even if I believed in Jones, I would still draft a QB--I also read one mock that said the Jets would take Sanders if he falls to 7---I disagree, but I was once wrong and it still bothers me.
    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
