Was it historically the worst unit ever?  No?

Sit down.

A single first round defensive pick won't turn around the defense on their own, to think it will is just foolish, especially if we end up with someone like Carter who is more project than immediate impact anyways.

Our best path to improving the defense next year is through Free Agency, not the draft.

And again, this was never about using the pick on T-Mac, it was the "another big bodied WR" description, as that's just not who he is.  This is from a new big board posted on ESPN today, "He has the reach and length to win on 50-50 balls, but also has the acceleration to be a yards-after-catch nightmare."

Hardly the description of "another big bodied WR" as you liked to put it

    • He did. A frame before or after showed his face and the top of the ball. The spot on 3rd down was also way closer to the first down than the spot was as well. The ball was in his left hand and his helmet was at the line. Using both angles, you could determine it without much difficulty. Refs played their part. No way to know if Buffalo scores or not and what KC does after so it is what it is and Buffalo had their last chance by abandoned all runs and dropped that 4th down throw.
    • I thought he had the first but as soon as they marked it short I knew there was no chance it was reversing. I also don't know how they ruled that jump ball a catch for Worthy? He had 1 hand and the ball hit the ground...take the defender out of it and if it's just him alone there's no way that's ruled a catch.   The Bills also looked like the frustrating Panthers of old when our play calling was so predictable I could have played D coordinator. Cook was absolutely GAMING tonight and they take him off the field in short yardage/clutch situations. Every time he was on the field he got it done. Say what you will about the refs...I've said plenty, but the Bills lost this game.
    • There’s no doubt in my mind that he made it and there’s also no doubt in my mind that it should have been a half yard or almost the entire yard closer on Kinkaid’s catch the play before. Bills still had their chance and blew it (especially taking the XP off the board so early). That’s there MO to mess things up and go away from easy plays and the running game.
