I'd rather he become an all-pro receiver

They seemed to think we may have some packages on offense that include him throwing passes, the other panelists were not so sure Jeff Davidson was smart enough to employ said package.

but that is simply a guess on his part

I agree, I don't care if they did camp out all weekend for the mini camp, you don't really see that much in those sessions, he has to be basing his assumption mostly off of his college career.

I am sure there are others out there but mark it down as me being on the bandwagon. The 2nd round pick we gave up for him is going to be well worth what we do with him. I see him taking the slot and being Carolina's version of DeSean Jackson. Get him the ball in space. He is going to make alot of plays.

there's only one all-pro return man each year, so it's highly unlikely. besides, while he is a very athletic individual, he's not the fastest or most athletic return man in the league. besides that, our team hasn't had a return for a touchdown in so long i can't remember when the last time was. i have to see the blocking get better first before i think that.

I hope he works out well as a returner, but does he even have any experience in that area? I understand he's a playmaker with a ton of athletic ability, but I'm just not sure he's going to be a great returner.

I think it's more likely that he comes in as a capable receiver who can also work the wildcat.

Out of all our picks, he is the only one that I am really excited about seeing play. Now from what I have heard from mini-camp the anticipation for the pre-season is palpable,

He reminds me of a better passing Josh Cribs with better hands. So he has the potential to become a weapon in the return, recieving, running, and passing game. To me he has the best chance of taking home the Rookie of the Year trophy out of all our Rookies. I wish a Panther could win it.

don't know who the fastest or most athletic is but 4.4(40 time)35in.(vertical)is pretty athletic to me add on that he benched(225 lb) 13 times is impressive for his size. i see him taking on the path that smith took with us, primarly a kr/pr for his first couple years ,stretch the field on long pass routes while he grows into a receiver(and throw in a little wildcat)

    • Richard Sherman got dog piled for basically saying he didn't stand out as a WR prospect but looked elite as a CB prospect. A few months ago you could find other players commenting on his limited route tree and raw route running but the search algorithms are flooded with love affair right now. The guy is the best CB prospect in years and he'll contribute on offense too. That is the absolute opposite of a knock on the guy. It's just the people buying into him being a full time two way player in the NFL like he was at Colorado who gets their panties in a wad over just stating the simple reality that he ain't gonna be a full time two way player at the NFL level with 17 games seasons and no Travis Hunter fan should want that either if you want the guy to make it to a second contract.
    • You do know you have to be invited to College GameDay? They called him out there and asked him about it and he answered it. And do you think he would have this type of interactions with a coach he doesn't have that type of relationship with? You're reaching to the furthest extent lol. I've seen a video of Hunter literally getting cursed out by Shedeur by not catching a BAD pass from Sanders and he didn't say anything just went out and caught a TD pass the next play! A "diva" would've got into a shouting match with his QB
    • WHAT?!?!?!?! Honestly for the life of me, I can't figure out what you're saying here.  How are you saying their supporting casts cancel each other out and Hunter STILL had the better season? The supporting cast is LITERALLY the reason that he had the better season statistically.  If you put T-Mac on Colorado in place of Hunter, I'm 100% convinced he'd have had better stats than Hunter did, as he already had almost the same number of catches, and more yards, with a significantly worse QB and with zero other offensive weapons to take any attention away from him like Hunter had. If you think Hunter having 7 more TDs is more because of Hunter vs T-Mac and not because Hunter's QB had literally DOUBLE the number of TD's this year than T-Mac's QB, then I have some Arizona oceanfront property to sell you.
