I'll be honest and say I'm not a fan of the Mohammed-Nocioni deal, but I think you're overvaluing Hinrich. Because of his contract and fairly poor play the past two years, he's not going to command a large return. In my opinion, the likely scenario for a Hinrich trade would be bad contract for bad contract.

I'm not over valuing him, I think he's a good PG though. He's a solid big defensive minded PG that's a decent shooter and passer. The last two years he's been coming off the bench and or playing the 2 spot. He isn't a 2 guard and is a starter quality PG imo. The Market is what over values him, a lot of teams would be interested in him. I mean there isn't a lot of Pg options out there in FA.

However Chicago is looking to use him in a sign and trade with Deng to get either Johnson, Bosh or James.

Great trade for the Bobcats but it takes two to tango and the Spurs aren't biting on that trade.

With the rumors flying around in FA about a possible Wade, Lebron, and Bosh trifecta in Miami, Miami must move Beasley to make that happen.

With that being the case, the Bobs should look into moving Diaw and taking Beasley off of Miami's hands. Heck I bet Miami would trade Beasley and a 1st round pick for a future 2nd.

Even though I had a very similar idea earlier, I don't think it will happen now, especially not with Diaw. They'd be taking back much more money than they'd be sending, which would defeat the purpose of trading Beasley.

Nevermind my last post, now I see what you're saying. The only problem is that we've already QO'd Thomas, and he wants to stay here. If we could pull off a trade for Beasley, sign-and-trade Thomas for a quality PG, then send Diaw away for a bag of chips, we'd be a better team. If the Knicks don't get a PF in free agency, I'm sure D'Antoni would like to get Diaw back.

Ronnie Brewer was not given a qualifying offer by Memphis, making him a free agent. He's never lived up to expectations, but I think he'd make a good swingman with us if we could get him on the right deal. His reputation as a lock-down defender only helps his cause.

Beasley can play some 3 in a pinch. There are enough minutes to go around between all of the players.

I wouldn't mind seeing an occasional small lineup of

Ford

Jax

Wallace

Beasley

TT

That lineup could get up and down the court and Wallace and TT are such good rebounders that the Bobs wouldn't get destroyed on the glass.
