Canes vs Stars 8pm

After having to claw back, the canes beat the worst team in the league in OT. Burns is playing downright terrible. Orlov seems like he is ready for the KHL. Freddie was a tad rusty but they still got the win.  Tonight, we play the Stars in the big D. Try to score first please and keep scoring.

For me, this was always the retooling year. I was deceived by the insanely hot start. I think your assessment is spot on. 

Time to call up some of the young guys on the farm, let the old guys walk. and I hope we move some pieces and get a bigtime goaltender. I still don't think we can make a run this year, but following this year, we should have a roster capable of getting it done for the next several years.

Never know what can happen if you just get a ticket to the dance though.

Looks like we may be sniffing around on JT Miller. Sounds like management doesn’t think it is a retooling year

After seeing who the Rags offered up, Miller isn't coming to Carolina without losing a top line forward, a 2nd pair D-man and a major prospect.
