The wit and wisdom of Brian Baker

I was yelled at, cursed at, called names and just about everything else when I played Pee Wee Football.

These are grown men, getting paid a lot of money for what they do, and they'll get a load of trash talk from opponents in games.

I think they can handle a little "tough love".

Players will work their ars'es off to please him.

it goes with the territory. military is the same way. not for the weak at heart. that kind of thing will toughen you up or make you run like a little girl.

i think it would be more helpful to tell them what they're doing wrong and how to improve their game rather than just say they're doing crappy. is he a demotivational speaker or a coach?

I'd be willing to bet he said more than simple one liner statements. He does get paid to teach and train after all.

That doesn't necessarily make it effective, though.
