Call of Duty: Black Ops

The Other Colbert

The maps are great. I got napalmed and got into such a laughing fit my buddies on Live Party were wondering wth was going on. "HELP ME TOM CRUISE...HELP ME OPRAH!"

Grenade effects are great. Smoke too. Decent weapons. I like the purchase system for weapons, upgrades, perks, and killstreaks. Haven't dabbled into contract purchases yet. Haven't touched zombies. Haven't touched single player. The multiplayer was seamless and no issues compared to MOH, but I'm sure it will take about a week for everyone to figure out a "gaming the game" issue.

Went to bed @3:30am...1.5hr commute to work today and same on the way home this evening. Can't take any days off this week. Maybe next.

thanks for the review...

btw your wife is doing great!

For those of you who haven't stumbled upon "Dead Ops" yet...here is how.

At the main menu where you select Campaign, Multiplayer, etc... you can get out of the chair you are sitting in. Use the L1/R1 (PS3) or LT/RT (360) to break loose from the chair. You can then move around the room, go find the computer that is in DOS mode and enter the following:

"CD" then hit enter

"DOA" then hit enter

Away you go!

ok so i just got done with my first sesh...went straight to multiplayer, lasted all of 6 hours haha. i have to say that i am very impressed. i went in to it not trying to get my hopes up, due to treyarch's previous release, which i found to be an average game. the thing i am most happy with is its quick game speed. it plays fast, unlike world at war which i found to be a bit sluggish, control wise. the other biggest perk is there are so many options. with everything; more in depth challenges, and tons of opportunity for customization. i'm digging the money system too. one problem im having is finding a solid gun. hopefully as i rank up something will reveal itself. anyways, i got so carried away i totally forgot about zombies, haha. gonna have to hit that up tomorrow. looks like mw2 may be retired.

I got the AUG not long ago and have been loving it, try that one. Get extended mags on it, that attachment is nice in this game.
