Dale Earnhardt Jr. back to the #3

Don't worry, your #3 Wrangler die cast is on the way to fill out the Earnhardt family shrine you setup in your double-wide.

I don't want to burst your bubble that NASCAR's chosen son really has no business in the sport so yes, I agree, he is a fantastic driver and fantastic interview and he would easily win 30 races a year if he had JG's equipment.

Hahahaha nice, man. Good one. I couldn't bear having that empty space without that diecast being covered by a naked picture your wife sent me. I mean, it was nice and all but I'm impressed Lane Bryant let her model there for so long.

It was Watkins Glen and apparently Ambrose ran quite a bit faster laps than did Gordon in Gordon's car. And Gordon is a top 5 road racer in NASCAR.

Ambrose would probably be a Chase contender in Hendrick's equipment. That is only if he isn't given that same inferior equipment that JR gets. :willy_nilly:

Only thing is Ambrose's record at Watkins is like a top 5 in everything he has raced there......he has quite a few tracks where his average finish is in the 20-30's...Ambrose on road courses especially Watkins is a lock for a top finish and a favorite to win everytime.

I really don't know how she gets so much attention...11th in IndyCar points, led 1 lap all season, in 5 starts in NNS her best finishes are 24th and 30th. Maybe I'm wrong but Shawna Robinson showed at least something by then.

Maybe because she is a she and most of us would hit that hard?

True...Very true.

If arrangements go as planned, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will run the #3 Wrangler Chevrolet for JR Motorsports at Daytona in the Nationwide race on July 2.

Sources say that Earnhardt will revive his father's famous #3 in a collaborative effort initiated by JR Motorsports with Richard Childress Racing and Dale Earnhardt Inc.

A formal announcement is expected on April 29. According to team sources, a Hendrick Motorsports engine will power the car. Earnhardt Jr. currently has a personal services contract with Wrangler, continuing a family legacy between the brands.

It would seem Dale Jr did a good job in the #3.

  • 3 weeks later...

That was great for him and everyone else involved.

And I think I heard them say the 3 was done except for Childress's kids running it in trucks and something else?

you heard right

more at www.cbssports.com under racing. browser doesn't want to give me the exact address.

Dale Jr was done with the #3 not NASCAR....you will see it raced again and it will probably be Childress' Grandson behind the wheel, I would say it will never be a Black #3 though

That is about the way it will play out with the #3 car.

What is Childress' Grandson's name? I believe Dillion is his last name.

With the Wrangler #3 and a Black #3 in Nationwide, who soon will we see it back in the Sprint series?

This is probably a preview of things to come.

I look for the #3 car to be back in the Sprint series in the very near futue, driven by Richard Childres's grandson.
