Why isn't the city of Charlotte doing a rally or anything for the Panters?

Its sort of like dumping a bucket of Gatorade on the coaches head after winning a first round playoff game. We haven't done anything yet.

When we went to the Superbowl, I talked with quite a few Patriots fans around and about. Most of them had this attitude towards us (regarding our attitude to being there) - awwwww, aren't they cute. I remember being ticked off about that.

Looking back on it - I find myself thinking that they were right (as much as it pains me to say that). We were naive about the whole thing, we were giddy and just happy to be there. Yeah, we thought we could win, but still we were giddy about that. And I also liked that when that game ended, they ended up realizing that we could have won - it gave me some validation.

I like that the panthers asked Charlotte to reel it in a bit during our next appearance in the NFCCG. We've grown.

And I just went back and reread what I wrote. I'm talking about the fans, not the team.
