A big little man who was undrafted: Brandon Banks

top dawg

I am really not worried about him getting clobbered. I am sure he has played against larger competition all his life. Granted, it hasn't been consistently against NFL talent, but he is football ready, no doubt. Plus, he's fast and elusive.

Yeah we got Edwards, but the two aren't mutually exclusive. It's not going to hurt to give the guy a try. There would be enough work for both these guys.

The vid is impressive.

but didnt larry play d3, brandon played in the big 12.huge difference i wouldnt mind him here.what happen to chery from last year he was pretty ood.

Yes, The two really don't compare. The Beave want to Wesley College [On nfl.com, it says Wesleyan, an all girl school. This shows you how much respect Beavers had]. Banks' competition was in the Big 12! The Big frickin' 12. No frickin' comparison. Bank's had arguably more than a modicum amount of success against the big boys (and this is with a decideldy sub-par QB throwing to him). Man, I'd love to see him get a shot.

It's not fair comparing him to Darren Sproles. Sproles is 5'6 185. Despite his height, he is jacked and can take a hit if needed. To put that into perspective, he is the same weight as Steve Smith, but 3 inches shorter..

5'6 149lbs is just too small for the NFL. Since he was UDFA I wouldn't mind seeing him brought in to see if he can hang with the big folks, but he really needs to put on some size.

Yeah, that is a little small. My son, who just turned 12 this month, is 5'5" and weighs between 145 and 150lbs.

He was running with the hosses of the Big 12 though. In my mind, this should at least get his toe in the door to a camp. Why not ours?

Big Mama's cooking and some weights should put a few pounds on him.

it wouldn't hurt giving him a tryout as a return man. a year off might be the best for him, though. gives him a chip on his shoulder and motivation to put on some size.
