Sure thing. I'm all over that, LOL. I'll pm my phone number. We'll arrange where to deposit the cash. Any amount.

I am in for $50...enough to make it interesting without getting the wife pissed at me.

We can either let an agreed upon mod/member hold the cash, or play by the honor system.

Anyone who knows me from the tailgates can tell you that I will pay off if I lose...I assume that you are the same honest type.

All gamers are "the honest type". If not things don't end up so good. Honor system works for me, we can meet and I'll let YOU hold the cash, or you find the address of another person and I'll mail cash. Want to make it up to 10 times that much?

So you are using Vegas lines to predict the outcome....not smart.

The lines are set based on perception....to gain equal betting on both sides. Thus, the house profits the juice.

This is only partially true. The main driver of the line is stats and a true numbers prediction of where the teams will finish. The companies that set the lines are the best data miners and handicappers in the world. Which in turn is supposed to generally match perception.

Sometimes it doesn't and the line moves. But not usually.

  • 5 weeks later...

I think the schedule is pretty hard but we shot ourselves in the foot last season so many times yet we still went 8-8.

A team that dumps a bunch of old vets for promising young guys is on the rise. Especially when all the vets were mediocre and the most of the young guys are 3rd round picks or better with a few year's experience in the leauge.

This is a rebuilding year for the cap but not the football team.

Repost from other guess the record thread:

Seahawks could suprise. Take out the Browns, Rams, and Bucs....our schedule is pretty damn tough. Arizona could go either way after losing what they lost. Jake will know exactly what we are doing when we play the Browns. Going to be alot of hard fought games to say the least. We tend to play down in games against the less talented teams. Anybody remember the winless Lions coming into BofA with Culpepper at the helm two years ago and almost stealing one?

I don't think the Taints sweep us.

10-6. Panthers step up and suprise if we can avoid let downs in the games we are supposed to win.

Or they don't and we are 6-10.

8.) Oct 31 CAR @ STL W

9.) Nov 07 NO @ CAR W

10.) Nov 14 CAR @ TB W

16.) Dec 23 CAR @ PIT W

17.) Jan 02 CAR @ ATL L

9-7 is where I see us right now. I believe during Week 5-7, we will make the switch to Clausen. I still don't trust Fox...I expect Matt Moore will play well, but the 3-4 game losing streak and criticism will cause Fox to bench Moore.

-I believe Cincy will edge out a win....with defense! They have a good set of corners and Antonio Bryant will work our defense...

-NO will beat us due to conserveness of Fox and the explosive of the NO offense in the dome.

-I predict Peppers will come back and literally, win this almost himself. Gross is overrated a bit

So let me get this straight. Moore who is entering his fourth season in the league has a 6-2 lifetime record in the NFL is going to go 2-4 in the first 6 games. Then Clausen will come in lets say week 8 and go 7-3 as a rookie with no experience.

First of all, if Moore plays well and we lose due to the defense, he will stay in after the bye. Second, Fox knows the schedule after the bye gets easier so he will keep Moore in for those games as well. Unless Moore struggles, Clausen will be holding the clipboard unless he has a fantastic preseason and camp.

And lastly, if Clausen comes in there is no way we go 7-3. If he gets playing time we will be headed to a 6-10 season at the best.
