wow are you serious? you have a right to your opinion, but i doubt that we will lose to Chicago or Seattle. and I seriously doubt that ATL will sweep us either. Losing Thomas Davis hurt, but i still think we will win 9 or 10 games.

Yes I'm serious. If you wager on 2/3 of the games all season long like I do you better be serious, and not a homer.

Now, just for a little info look at the odds of winning the Superbowl: http://www.belmont.com/live-lines/nfl-football/super-bowl-odds

Where do you see Chicago and Seattle? They're projected as better teams than the Panthers. Panthers at Seattle? My money will be on the Seahawks.

Atlanta? They finishished ahead of us last year, and we are nowhere near the team we were.

FYI, no 1 player determines a team's season. Davis situation is a non-factor.

Here's another futures site: http://www.footballlocks.com/nfl_futures_odds.shtml

How many games you see with odds better and worse than us?

How 'bout a over/under wins prediction: http://www.betvega.com/2010-nfl-betting-lines-for-team-over-under-win-totals-0603101/

You'll note the #1 recommendation:

NFL win totals are now up on the board at Sportsbook.com, and the following is a couple recommendations along with the rest of the NFL odds per team.

1. Carolina Panthers O/U 7.5 Wins – The Panthers are going to be in for a rebuilding season that might not ultimately include a competent quarterback. Carolina decided to cut ties with QB Jake Delhomme after several seasons, and ultimately may end up going to Matt Moore as the team’s signal caller. The NFC South is arguably one of the tougher divisions in the NFL, and it’s hard to see how the Panthers are going to end up posting a comparable season than they did last year when they finished just 8-8.

Selection: Carolina Panthers under 7.5 wins (Bet Now) - http://www.betvega.com/2010-nfl-betting-lines-for-team-over-under-win-totals-0603101/

So for the homers, if you wnat to lay your money on 12 wins, go ahead, there are hundreds of sites that will allow you to.

I'm sure many people laid their money on the Saints to win the Superbowl.

If you're betting on projections..then good luck!

No I don't bet on projections. I have a strategy and I stick to it.

Each week I bet heavy on 1/3 of the games I feel best about.

I bet light on 1/3 of the games I feel good about.

The remaining 1/3 I dont touch.

Has worked pretty good for me over the years. Good enough to retire off of

Well, that should workout better then. Who you leaning the most towards to winning it all next?

Vikings? Colts? Ravens?

Prob Colts, Chargers, Ravens in AFC. Saints by comfortable margin, Cowboys, Packers in NFC.

Interesting to me that the highest over/under is Colts and Chargers (currently @11), but Panther homers think 12-14 wins. I know it's all yap on a message board and NO action with the pocketbook. Chickens all :)

I would choose Packers or Ravens.

lol yeah..with as many holes needing to be filled, thinking above 11 wins is really nonsense. Right now I'm feeling 9-7.

I'm not betting on this team, never will lol.

10-6

split with atlanta and no, sweep tb. Against afc north teams 2-2. Against nfc west 4-0. Jimmy clausen named starter after bye week after matt moore starting 1-4. Jimmy leads us to a 8-2 end of season.

bump.

I see us losing to Chicago...Seattle, I doubt it. But Chicago...I see it.

So you are using Vegas lines to predict the outcome....not smart.

The lines are set based on perception....to gain equal betting on both sides. Thus, the house profits the juice.
