Jerry Jones crazy or smart?

I would be surprised if Sanders goes before 8. There's talk that he may not go in the 1st at all. Dallas can probably get him without moving up but Jerry doesn't need to know that.

I'd be shocked if he's still there at 8

I think Shedeur will be a bust in the NFL, but I just think there are too many QB needy teams that the Sanders name/hype is going to make sure he gets drafted by then.

Just can't see how both NY teams and the Raiders all pass on him, MAYBE the Raiders pass on him if they hire Ben Johnson and he doesn't like Sanders, but I think any other HC gets hired there and there isn't any chance he's there at 6 and they don't take him.

The rams play in LA where 10 mil people live - it’s the largest market in the country.  It doesn’t hurt that they won a Super Bowl recently.

Theres nothing east about Dallas but Jones has wielded his power with the nfl  to make sure his team is in a division with rivals that have some of the largest market shares in the nfl and play in the best prime time spots.  They are always in the spotlight for better or worse.  He makes moves like this that are absurd football wise but media wise pay huge dividends.  Hes great at keeping the brand relevant.  He bought the team for 140 mil and now it’s worth over 10 bil.  I hate the cowboys and even more their fans but you gotta give the guy his due… Jerry Jones is a brilliant marketing strategist.

They also own the stadium and land, Stan Kroenke is a LA legend in realEstate. The chargers PAY the rams to use the staudium. We all pile on tepper and his concerts, that maybe the best place to hold one.

Plus I thought Jerry bought the blowboys for 20 million or 25 million?? Everyone said he over paid and was a loon.......One of the biggest increases in value in modern history besides any shitcoin or wall Street BS....

I would take Dak and 2 1sts to give the Cowboys Shedeur Sanders.  The Cowboys would probably have to eat a chunk of the cap hit, and you know those future 1sts are top 10 picks at least.

nor for the Panthers but if I was the Titans or something I’d consider it

Consider it?  I'd say yes so quickly that I'd hurt myself.

Only way you don't do it if you're the Titans is if you absolutely fall in love with Ward and are convinced he's going to be a star in this league.  As Dak will be 32 before next season starts, while that's not terribly old for QB's these days, he probably only has 3-5 years left in him.

Exactly whoever makes the trade would get Dak really cheap

I would think one of the first steps of jumping from being a college HC to an NFL HC is not getting blown out in a bowl game and then actually winning one, but thats just me.

lol bowl game?

They never beat a ranked team and think they only beat 2 power 5 teams who had an above .500 record.

And they did that with a Heisman winner playing both ways and another Heisman candidate at QB, but sure, people keep thinking Deion is some amazing coach, it makes no sense, he's a glorified cheerleader, that's it.

Not sure how cheap he'd actually be in the end as it looks like Dallas guaranteed a large portion of his contract, but kept the signing bonus to a smaller portion of it as "only" $80 million and had a very small base salary this past season.

So they new team wouldn't be paying the $60 million a year average that the contract was, but his base salary in the next 4 years are 48, 40, 45, and 55 million, still a good amount for a QB, even in today's market.

The only teams that would take Dak would be teams that felt they were on the cusp of winning a Superbowl and only needed a qb.  But those teams probably wouldn't have a pick that guarantee they get Sanders, so a third team would have to be involved, I think.

If the Titans or Browns don't end up loving a QB in this class and don't want to try and tank for Manning, trading the 1st or 2nd pick for Dak, 12th overall, 2026 1st, and maybe a little more would be well worth it.

Now, if would Dak waive his no trade clause to go there, is another question.

If I'm Dak and they hire Deion and make it clear they're going to trade him to get Shedeur, I'm not going to help them by accepting any trade.  I'm forcing my way to a better team and/or forcing them to give up even more picks to make the deal so it helps his new team add players.

Or even funnier would be to just accept no trade and play chicken with Deion... do you play the better QB or play your son and lose credibility with the rest of the team.  To bad they'd just cut him in the end if it came to that, but at least you then are free to sign wherever you want.
