Panthers trade safety Harris back to Chicago Bears

(By Darin Gantt, [email protected]) The Carolina Panthers lost an aggressive safety as well as a new-media newsbreaker Tuesday when they traded Chris Harris back to the Chicago Bears.p/Harris announced the move on his Twitter page early Tuesday afternoon, and went through a comical series of semi-retractions and near-confirmations before the deal was finalized (and announced on his Facebook page) around 4 p.m.

Chris Harris had 1 good year with the Panthers in 2007 when he had 96 tackles,5 PD, 8 FF and 1 INT. However, his last 2 years here he only averaged 65 tackles 4.5 PD, 2 FF and 2 IN. Those are hardly big numbers and can easily be replaced by someone younger and cheaper. Everytime the Panthers cut or trade an average player some of you guys come on here and act like they just got rid of a Hall of Famer.
