So, this is the 2009-2010 MVP.

He calls himself "King James" and has been compared to some of the all-time greats. All I have to say is...

He played worse during some of the 08 playoffs than now, if you can believe that.

LeBron hits clutch. lol.

He's a beast, but he will never match what Micheal Jordan was. So sick of hearing that he will be better when it's all said and done.

This is a very inconsistent series though..so don't count 'em out just yet.

He won't be Michael Jordan, but why does it seem like people either love him or hate him? Why can't people be indifferent, like me? Well, I'm not really indifferent when it comes to Wade but all other players I respect enough not to bash them unless they outright deserve it.

I'm indifferent as well. But when you're the MVP playing in the playoffs at home, It's hard not to laugh at that performance.

Points scored tonight

S. O'Neal: 21

L. James: 15

I don't think it's laughable. It's downright sad and actually ticks me off. My reasoning: he just generally didn't look like he was fighting very hard and didn't attack. I expect more effort from the MVP and it just didn't look like he was trying in the second half. I saw more fight from the Spurs the other night (Ginobli, Parker, Duncan).

Yeah, it is sad really. I feel sorry for the Cavs fans though. Because without LeBron, they're just not that good. I don't think either team will be able to beat Magic anyway...

I used to claim to hate players: Kobe, D-Wade, Tom Brady, among some, but I realized that it's more of media thing than a personal beef.

Plus, I realized that 98% of sports stars are douchebags, so it's pointless to read into them so hard.

Actually, Dock.

Rondo vs Jameer would probably be the battle to watch. Because honestly with Boston's stifling and aggressive defense I can actually see a 6-7 game series (that's if Boston makes it out this series)

A KG-less Celtic team took Orlando to 7.

Let's not forget that.

If Lebron leaves, Shaq will definitely be gone (if he hasn't left already). Ilguaskas might hang around a few more. Varejao is a good player but I doubt he will want to stay around Cleveland long without a really good player around (which, if Lebron leaves, they won't be a contender for another decade). Parker has shown up in the playoffs but I doubt he will be around the team long after Lebron departs either. Mo won't do much even if he stays. Basically, it looks as if Cleveland is going to just be dismantled. Rebuilding time, maybe?

The Magic are playing great right now. To be honest, I don't really like them because they don't have a dominant outside player (sure, they have Howard, but I'm talking a PG/SG/SF who can shoot outside). I just like teams that have franchise superstars. My reasoning is that while the Magic are playing good right now, I feel they are just as prone to start missing baskets for no good reason (Lebronitis).

You're right; Rondo vs Jameer would be absolutely awesome. Rondo is actually one of my favorite players in the league right now. I've liked him for the past couple of years even when he was overshadowed.

While Boston can be a great great team, they will be playing a fresh Magic team and they do have quite a few old players. If they play like they have against Cleveland (games where they just looked terrible) I don't think they will be able to pull it off.

If LeBron goes, there will be no rebuilding, they will go back to what they were before 2003. A team with hardly any attractive qualities to attract free agents.

A perennial lottery team.

Until they score another Lebron in the draft. /Sarcasm

    • If there's a prospect who looks strong on the field but has the question marks, makes sense to bring them in and see if they are indeed a nutjob or not.  Especially if they couldn't get a good sense in limited time to meet him at the combine.  Randy Mueller has talked about it before -- many GMs don't just use these top-30s to validate the guys they already love.  Although we seem to do that and kind of show our cards a lot lol.   But to the point, if they love tape, have met enough coaches/teammates and talked to them at the bowls/workouts, many teams don't need to wine and dine and get to know them.   There's certain guys who get to know regional scouts, GMs and position coaches starting mid-college season last year.    On the flipside, there's the wildcards who aren't privy to developing relationships with the pro-community while in school, have bad reps, and teams need to dig a bit further into it.  A top-30 becomes a good measuring stick for those teams think could be a stellar fit but are unsure on who the guy actually is - which matters a ton at the end of the day.  Organizational fit has so much more weight than let on and is why these drafts after the first few picks get so all over the map.
