That's great. Seems to me you are the type of person who knows his team and refuses to acknowledge the emerging players on other teams.

Regardless, this thread is about Jamar, not about the trade. Although, why DL or WR??????????? We have 9 (I think) receivers on our roster and 6 tackles (known ones). We only had 5 LBs...

I just got back from work and I admit this trade perplexes me. I guess this means Martin and godfrey will be our S tandem. But I hope we didn't trade a beloved starter for a backup. But he's a panther now so I wish him the best of luck here.

ok, I will tell John Fox you said the position is fine and he can send him back to chicago. If carolina thought they were set at that position, they would not have made this trade.

Panthers have already said they like Anderson/Conner at the SLB....and that Williams will back-up Davis.

With the release of Diggs and Johnson, we lost depth at LB.

this trade was about moving a bitter player who was publically causing a problem for a solid player in return.

I don't remember too many Panther fans being very excited about Harris until they saw him play here. Why don't we all just wait until we see for ourselves what Jamar Williams can do before we overreact? As if that's possible around here.

I think the biggest differance is that we have alot of depth at LB. Who'd we have when Mike Minter retired?

Do you have to justify every move this FO or Owner makes. In another thread you said when you talk junk about your boss you get what you get or any Panther fan that doesn't agree with every move they make needs too leave.

So with all these asshole in this country who dog Obama should get what they get right and your not American if you don't agree with Obama.

Man get the fug out of here with this poo. If Obama can get dogged every time he says somthing. Then people should be able to call a restaurant and Football team owner a asshole for saving money in his pocket but increasing the price on us.

This is a bullshit trade. We traded a 27 year old starter for a 25 year old back-up.

Just for the record we did not get fair value in the trade. However I have a feeling (sources have alluded) that Harris was not an innocent bystander, either through his twittering or simply wanting out. Some have even commented they were surprised he survived the purge in the early off-season.

Considering that, teams obviously felt if they waited, we would buckle. Which we did.
