So, off season Panthers talks went like,

Fox: So we had a top 10 defense last year. With our running game a good defense we will win several games next year.

Hurney:, okay its top ten, lets get rid of nearly half of them and hope the inexperienced backups work out.

Fox: kay

that's one way to look at it. Another, better, more intelligent way would be to break down the moves individually.

Peppers: nothing we could do

Thomas: 800 years old

Lewis: Best days FAR behind him, due to get paid 9 million dollars

Diggs: good players behind him

Harris: bashed the front office all over the world

There's frankly not a single job you can expect to poo on your bosses like he did and not face repercussions.

Fox and co have shown they can find DBs literally anywhere (ie Chris harris) so I'm not really worried. I like Harris a lot but he's overrated on here.

Some of you guys make it sound like Chris wanted to stay here. Granted, him tweeting probably had something to do with him being traded, but he has recently stated in blogs that he hated leaving the Bears, and now, he is saying how excited he is going back.

I hate to see him go, but clearly he isn't someone to feel sorry for if he's happy about this. I feel more sorry that we may be using Godfrey as his replacement. Hopefully, the deal we get is just as much in our favor as it is for Chicago.

I don't know if anyone has told you this but uhhhh the Panthers FO is morally opposed to free agency

no they're not.

they'll build the team with cheaper veteran pieces like they've done to great success for the past four years.

christ i hate you all.

and before pstall drags his whole theory about the panthers intentionally cutting costs

But to be clear, Harris being traded not about $$, more they like the two young guys they have and want them both on the field.

I think it's not so much that we traded Harris, I think it's the overall purge and the feeling that we didn't get equal value back for him. Plus, it's the Bears.

I think we signed a contract to become their farm team affiliate... They send him down to us, we develop him, they bring him back up, send down scrub J. Williams.

Moose, Pep, Manning Jr., Wesley, Harris, etc.
