won't have to fire him. his contract is up after this season. just let him walk.

not really anything short of a superbowl appearance will make me want to try very hard to keep him around. i would have somewhat of an open mind were he to take this team deep into the playoffs but i'm not really all that curious to see what he could do with this young team.

i'll be ready to move on after the season. i've been ready.

you know what i meant

the good thing is that this will be an excellent situation for a new coach to come into. good young team with a lot of talent. a choice of three young QBs to choose from all with at least a year under their belts.

i like the coaching staff for the most part. i'd like to see the bulk of them stay but i really doubt that would happen. fox is the only person left that i have an issue with.

ya, i want him gone. he's as inconsistent a coach as jake was a quarterback. sometimes fox will do great things, and an equal number of times he'll do horrible things. those things can be in the draft room or calling plays. it's taken him how many years to find the right personnel for a decent passing game in a pass-oriented league? i don't like the run first and run even if it doesn't work philosophy. i don't like the conservative way he shuts down our offense just 'cause we're up by two scores. he is the antithesis of my entire football philosophy. the first time we threw a screen pass to keyshawn johnson or muhsin muhammad, fox should've laid into the offensive coordinator. the second time we did it, that's an instant fox firing in my opinion. all the consecutive times is people just putting up with garbage that they shouldn't have to put up with.

This happens to me too in the off season.

Then once we ease back with a 3 point lead against the Saints with 6 minutes to go in the 3rd (WHAT COULD HAPPEN?!) it all comes back to me.

I'd like a new coach but I'm not going to kill myself if he sticks around.

I read this... and I seriously felt sad. No really... this made me sad.... because it has happened so many times...

Yes, I think Fox and the team should move on after this season. The ONLY saving grace will be a SB WIN. Not an appearance, a WIN. If that happens, then let's re-evaluate. We're coming off yet another disappointing season, where we gave 6 of our 8 losses away. We can't put 2 good seasons together back-to-back. We had some good results with Jake at the helm even though he never really developed well mechanically as a QB. Our inability to develop WRs' thru the Fox years is quite telling as well. Did we draft bad? Or did the coaching staff let that manifest by not ensuring that Jake progressed and developed good enough to utilize all his assets on the field? These are necessary questions to ask.

We have a good running attack, a good and improving defense (albeit with some question marks due to the losses of personnel there), and a young QB corps with a lot of potential if DEVELOPED right! The organization has been addressing our horrid special teams. This is a good situation for a coach to step into. A rebuilding will not have to take place, many, if not most, of the pieces are here now. I still believe that Cowher is the coach in waiting. He was offered opportunities in the league to come back this year, but he turned them down, this despite him letting it be known that he wanted to return. He lives in NC. I don't know if he's the one to take us to the SB, but I do believe he's the next coach of this franchise, after the conclusion of this upcoming season. Good or bad, that's my prediction.

YES..But keep Hurney....relpace with Jon Gruden, Brian Schottenheimer, or Bill Cowher. I'm tired John Fox's up and down teams his inability or unwillingness to make changes when something isn't working and his idiotic quotes to keep from answering questions that seem to be legitimate questions that his stubborness usually brought on in the first place.
