Our season has been over since December, the draft has come and gone, and we will probably talk about this until Fox gets an extension (or not). Personally I don't want to get rid of him. Mainly because I can't see anyone that I would want to replace him with. Fox has had a pretty good run. never a double digit losing season, hes made his share of piss poor mistakes, but who hasn't. For some reason Im wildly optimistic (im kinda like that before every season). And I was one who was b**ching and moaning for him to be fired, i dont know what happened. ah well. what say you???

This happens to me too in the off season.

Then once we ease back with a 3 point lead against the Saints with 6 minutes to go in the 3rd (WHAT COULD HAPPEN?!) it all comes back to me.

I'd like a new coach but I'm not going to kill myself if he sticks around.

My attitude is that they drafted for offense, so let's see some. Running the ball is great, but if you can't keep the D off balance they're gonna shut the run game down. I want to see somebody catch the ball besides Smith, and see them use Edwards for his versatility. I want to see Fox get out of his conservative comfort zone.

Only for Gruden.

I might have to agree w/ that. And I think he would love to come here. especially and face the bucs twice a year. and hed loves teams w/ lots of QBs. and he LOVES running backs. and Smitty. If we can't win 9 games id be very disappointed, especially w/ this schedule and this team

My biggest -- and for the most part only -- beef with Fox was his steadfast refusal to put in Moore last season. And even though he only did that as a result of Delhomme being injured, he did let go of Delhomme this offseason and he's obviously made some moves to put a talented young player at the quarterback position.

So with that said, get back with me later this year.

the biggest issue was his reluctance to remove Jake from the starting position. now that it isn't a problem anymore, and I doubt he has any loyalty to Matt Moore if he doesn't do well. Fox will be able to go into this year focusing on the run with a QB, doesn't matter which one to me, that will minimize mistakes and allow us to win games.

won't have to fire him. his contract is up after this season. just let him walk.

not really anything short of a superbowl appearance will make me want to try very hard to keep him around. i would have somewhat of an open mind were he to take this team deep into the playoffs but i'm not really all that curious to see what he could do with this young team.

i'll be ready to move on after the season. i've been ready.
