or maybe a "fancy import".....say Rolling Rock.

HAHA...wait..rolling rock was your fancy import? :P

tailgating calls for starting with a 6 pack of the good stuff....red oak!

and finishing it with lots and lots of cheap beer...maybe bud light :D

I can't freakin wait!

I haven't had red oak in forever. Where are you getting 6ers of it at? I used to be in G'boro area, and would go and get it fresh at the restaurant. good stuff.

The beer I like the best is one of my favorite brands that is on sale. Could be Corona, Yuengling, Killians Red Ale, Molsons etc. My most favorite beer is one that I can't get. I really got a liking for Victoria Bitter when I visited Australia. Problem is you can't get it here except in a very few places. Fosters does make a bitter beer which is decent. Better than their regular beer.

So I tailgate with whatever is on sale as long as it isn't butt wiper, PBR, the Beast, Natural or other rock gut beer.

Living in the microbrew mecca of NC that is Asheville, I normally enjoy a wide variety of beers and styles...all brewed locally of course. BUT, on game days I choose to drink tall boys of PBR....that's right, the blue ribbon winner! Let the laughter ensue....

I lived in Asheville for three years (2005-2008) while finishing my bachelor's at UNCA, and I can also vouch for the area's many and marvelous microbrews.

While writing for the school paper, I actually got to write about the local breweries. Purely for research purposes, I hopped aboard the "Brews Cruise"--a van that whisks you around town for a sampling of local brews. We went to Highland, Asheville Pizza and French Broad. My favorite beers of the area are the French Broad Goldenrod Pilsner, Asheville Pizza's Ninja Porter and my absolute favorite, Highland's Oatmeal Porter (you can get this and many other Highland beers at local Harris Teeters, and I've even seen it on tap in a few places.

Now you've got me eagerly anticipating some Oatmeal Porters with a big bowl of chili tomorrow night. I miss Asheville, and not just for the beers. :(
