Have To Give Gantt Props

I think that's a reach, by a bit. They traded a 2nd round pick. In today's NFL, that's fool's coin, truthfully. If Armanti doesn't pan out, it is what it is... but I hardly think the "scar" of trading a 2nd rounder to move up to make a 3rd round pick will be one that long taints the Panthers reputation.

Was the pick too early? At first blush, absolutely... but only time will tell. You cannot question the kid's athleticism, ability, and instinct on the football field. The often stated "knock" on him is the Division of football he played in. There have been many good and great NFL players that have come from a Division of college football that is not Division I.

He's being given a chance, and obviously one that the Panthers believed in. I believe that Armanti won't blow that opportunity.

Again fellas, App State IS Division I (FCS)

Man, you said it.

I remember when everyone loved Gantt and agreed uniformly that he was the best Panthers writer out there.

Then he starts letting his own opinion trickle into a few pieces, and he's lambasted for it.

I have been to some of his chats on the observer lately.

And he is a douche now. Every comment he makes has a whiff of asshole with it. Now don't get me wrong, I love a good douche bag, smart ass. But when I know thats not their real personality and they just act sour, its just annoying.

I think his relentless defense of Delhomme and Fox last year toward radio show call-ins has changed him.

But yea, for the most part his write-ups are mostly positive slanted. I look at his writing style like multiplication rules.

Positive article X Postive fan mood = Positive reactions

Positive article X Negative fan mood = Negative reactions

Negative article X Positive fan mood = Negative reactions

Negative article X Negative fan mood = Positive reactions

Now that is some fancy math there, Yep I went to App state. ;)

My money is on him being the next Hoover.

A solid addition to the team that may never reach Pro Bowl level but always delivers when we need him. Local boy playing for the home team. Fans love him and he plays for a good number of years.

Kinda small to be a fullback dont ya think?

:D
