What really makes next season so great?

I couldn't agree more. I am so excited to see a new full time starter at QB for the Panthers its ridiculous. It was like torture last year watching him lose game after game for us. The pain of watching the defense get a great stop just to give the ball to Jake Delhomme so he could throw it back to the other team was overwhelming at times.

I hate to run down Jake. Prior to the playoff loss to the Cards, where he single-handedly flushed a season, Delhomme played very well for the Panthers for quite a while!

That said, I'm excited to have a new starting QB as well. And I'm referring to Moore! I'm also excited about our draft!

1- Clausen: I hope they don't rush him into the starting position. Moore has proven to be a good, if not spectacular, NFL QB. But I think that in the long term, we drafted a franchise QB -- for mid-2nd round money!

2- Edwards: at first I was a little miffed about trading to move up for this guy. But I did a little research on him and found this -

I had no idea how awesome this guy was in college! Read the notes about what he's accomplished. I know he's transitioning to WR but he seems like the kind of athlete that will do so easily. (These are the times where I go back to the Hurney/Fox drafting record and tell myself to trust their judgment).

3- Norwood: I LOVE this pick...this guy is just a stud football player! First team All-American. This is the type of guy that you ignore the combine/pro-day numbers for and just look at his productivity and motor!!

Looking forward to an awesome season!
