i say armantti edwards... cause if we're gonna give away future picks, why not get a decent DT or OL??? i do, however, admire the fact that they're trying to bring in competition at more positions than they have in previous seasons. competition is always good. oh, and just for the record, i saw a clip on nfl.com where charley casserly said it's not a QB competition here and that Matt Moore will be the starter... unless he blows chunks.

Got to love them all. Now is the time to believe they were the right pick at the right time, and this is the right place. The build through the draft philosophy has been infused with a new energy this year. The team is less embedded on the past and not afraid to dream, even boldly. I will dream with them.

We got quality and quantity ar wr and qb. We got some other players who will at least help special teams...and prolly our defense...we have even seen them practice once...not to mention play a game....a season or 2!

Players like Edwards don't come around often, so I am not gonna hate on that like it seems a good number of people do. It's a gamble, but IMO it's worth the risk. He wasn't gonna last until our next pick so they had to decide if they wanted him or not. With his good athleticism and competitve spirit, he may be the missing slot receiver that we haven't had since Ricky Proehl. You know that they're going to give him plenty of reps on ST, and provided that he can catch on, he could be very dangerous. And, lastly, we might just have an effective wildcat type of play, now. Sorry, haters (or at least semi-haters because of what we gave up), I am excited to see this guy on our team.

Come next draft, I have the feeling that we will have more than enough talent to parlay ourselves into whatever position that we desire. Hurney and Fox's gambles don't seem to be so bad when you look at the small price that we ultimately had to pay. The stealing of Clausen (and to a lesser degree, Lafell) will make whatever perceived price we had to pay to get Edwards look like peanuts a year from now.

The only thing I had a problem with was grabbing three DBs in the last three picks. I know we were gearing up the Special Teams, and that's fine, but instead of grabbing that last one, I would've picked up Brandon Lang DL from Troy. Good size, good ability, and had a fifth-sixth round grade.
