Would You Trade Draft Capital for a #1 WR???

We don't need a #1 WR. We need weapons. Guys that know what to do with the ball in their hands. I just don't feel like we have that right now. Bryce looks like the most elusive player on the team. That is not a good thing. We can find weapons 3rd - 5th rounds. Now that I think about it, I don't want Bryce thinking he has to force the ball to any player - see Diontae Johnson. That's not his game and I don't think he has the velocity to force passes like Penix and Nix. 

Draft BPA. Fortunately/Unfortunately we need EVERYTHING right now. With a heavy focus on defense early. 

Probably deserves its own thread but if Bryce is starting to become the QB we expected him to be, then we need to draft receivers that works best for him. And since he gelled with Thielen from the start, that's telling me Bryce mainly needs guys who actually know how to play the fundamentals of the position. Run the right route. Catch a well placed ball. It's probably why Bryce and XL aren't meshing yet while he has done better with Coker; XL came in much more raw and inexperienced.

Best comparison would be Brady for all the seasons he didn't have superstar receivers. His targets were simply intelligent and reliable players.

I'd offer Keenan Allen a 2 year, $15 million contract to finish his career right here in his home state.  He is smart, reliable, and runs great routes.  I think he would be perfect for Bryce and would not break the bank.  Then we can use the draft for mostly defense (at least rounds 1-3).

Not a fair comp at all, you have to compare Higgins at $35M AAV vs $25M AAV to Godwin.

I agree those kind of players are needed, but shouldn't discount the importance of guys that can make something out of nothing. That's not always a QB's responsibility. And it shouldn't be. It makes it too difficult to win games when everything on one side of the ball depends on the QB. A strong running game and receivers that can make big plays are absolutely necessary to be successful. That's how you keep defenses honest.

I still think Horn can be an all pro caliber CB if he stays healthy, but yea, I'm doing that trade without a second thought

Hell yes. A WR who’s put up 3 straight 1k yard seasons on a dysfunctional Jets team, or a corner who’s never played a full season. 
 

I would also trade pick 8 for him straight up. Graham and Carter will be gone by 8 so no other defensive player would be worth it over getting Wilson.

I would say I wouldn't care about getting rid of this #8, provided one of the better guys doesn't make it to us(McMillian, Graham, Johnson, etc). But I mean that for a top flight WR, not just a "could be top flight WR."

I mean like Garrett Wilson, Tee Higgins, etc. 

But all future firsts are off the table and nothing more in the first three rounds, IMO. No more insane trade rapes like we have been subject to during the Tepper era.

not sure the answer to your question but if hypothetically Horn was on the jets defense then holy fug that is an all time unit.  Sauce on one side, horn on the other with that pass rush.  Jesus H that is insane
