I'm not a KC fan, but my stepson is an annoying Patriots/Brady fan. So I enjoy watching him getting so bent out of shape about the Chiefs.

Never liked the Bills either (probably my NYJ fan upbringing), so I like watching them play Charlie Brown to KC's Lucy.

Fail Charlie Brown GIF by Peanuts

I know so many Pats fans that get upset about KC without any sense of self awareness. That's why I do sort of wish KC keeps trucking on.

I think they're more self aware than you think, it's literally the exact same thing about Jordan fans complaining about Lebron flopping or complaining to the refs, same things Jordan did himself (at least in complaining to refs and getting preferential treatment, I know flopping wasn't really a thing quite yet in his era).

They see Mahomes and the Chiefs as a thread to Brady and the Patriots as the GOAT and GOAT Dynasty and don't want to lose that mantle, so they attack them because of it.

Trust me, there isn't the ability to be self aware because the combined New England fanbase is cumulatively about 200 IQ points.

Brady was fun to hate because he was never the best QB.  He just won all the time.  Mahomes is like the big brother stiff arming little kids.  If Peyton Manning was winning those Super Bowls, people would have hated him like Mahomes.

I believe he was the best.

Not because of arm talent, although it wasn't bad.  And not because of his ability to run, because he couldn't.  But because he was cool as ice, and when the game was on the line, there was no one better in NFL history.

If KC wins this year and Mahomes gets to 6 at some point, I think it will be hard to say Mahomes might not be better. Lots of career left, so we will see.

Agreed, but the one thing I will say about Mahomes is that he depends much more on his mobility than Brady did.  Which might make it difficult for him to be as good as long as Brady was.  And I do wonder how much longer Andy Reid will continue to coach.
