There are 100% still parts of Detroit that if I'm driving there at night, I'm not stopping at a red light if the intersection is clear lol, but yea, it's not the same city that got the bad reputation it can't shed.

Spent about a decade working in the heart of downtown, it really was a great place to work (besides the traffic getting in/out of the city).  Especially in the late 2010's when they started having all the food trucks come into Campus Martius.

Lol. Oh I know, I have lived in those parts too.

You can see the fingers of gentrification working their way outward from various areas. It's happening.

I actually have grown to love Detroit over the past few years. It's why I keep coming back here to work, given all the options available.

Love living in metro Detroit and Michigan in general. Downtown is great and there’s some amazing hole in the wall spots with stories to tell, good and bad. And holy hell do they love their sports. It really puts Charlotte to shame in that aspect.

There is literally nothing good about the weather here

Winters of course suck, summers are too humid, in the spring and fall we'll have days in the same week of seeing snow and 70 degrees.

There's probably like 50 good weather days here a here, it's not cool

WAS and BAL play about 35 miles away from each other. This area would be lit if they played each other in the Super Bowl. WAS really deserves this success. It's been a long time for them. Funny how soon they're having success after Dan sells the team.

TBH, I will never be able to root for the Redskins because their fans were such massive pieces of poo when the Panthers started up and they were the predominant fanbase in NC. I hope they don't see a SB win before we do.

I am still a southern guy so the summers here are great. I miss NC summer. Heat does not phase me at all.

This slop and these subzero temps? No. Thank. You.

I blame Gettleman and Tepper!

We could have a front office with Brandon Beane GM, Marty Hurney Advisor, Scott Fitterer Personnel Executive, Sean McDermott HC, Steve Wilks DC, Joe Brady OC

We'd be selecting QBs like Cam Newton, Josh Allen and Jayden Daniels. Nice team to have in the NFC if you blended Buffalo and Washington together with some Carolina carryovers since 2018.

We'd be seeing the Panthers dominate the NFC like the Chiefs dominate the AFC.

Some of us knew better

I lived in Arizona for 5 years for college, the heat doesn't phase me in the slightest, it's the humidity that gets me.

Drop me in 100+ degree dry heat and I'm fine, but 85 in August with Michigan's humidity and I'm dying, you just can't breathe in it, you can taste the water in the air.

Yeah, I am from eastern NC. Nothing like a good morning swim at 90+ degrees every time you walk out the door. Lol.

It's oppressive but I really do hate the cold so much. And I HATE snow.

It's a different place. I used to go visit my Aunt and Uncle a lot years ago. When they were alive they lived on Avery St for literally ever. It's came a long way from what it was.

With all that being said though, I'm glad the Lions lost. They have turned into one of the top 5 most annoying fan bases in 2 years. One of the worst experiences I've had at a sports bar was last season listening to a bunch of them. I was worse than being around Eagle and Cowboy fans simultaneously.
