I wouldn't be buying custom Jimmy Clausen #2 jerseys or anyone elses just yet. I'm sure quite a few of these will change between now and the start of the season depending on who gets cut and who works out deals for X number.

Yeah but when the pre-season starts, I'll be buying my Clausen jersey.

they changed the number formula so LBs could wear numbers in the 90s as well..so don't get too excited that he's stuck in that position

from PFT

Defensive linemen may now choose from 60 to 70 and 90 to 99, and linebackers may pick a number from 50 to 59 or 90 to 99. These changes were aimed at recognizing the overlap between linebackers and defensive ends, especially in the 3-4 defense.

Also, the rules now permit a player to move from one position to another and keep his number, if he played the prior position for at least a year and if he is moving from a position that is eligible to receive passes to another eligible position, or if he is moving from one ineligible position to another ineligible position. This is the rule that, if on the books, would have allowed Devin Hester to keep number 23 after becoming a receiver. (For reasons not known to us, Hester was not required to change his number when he became a receiver.)

Good number for a backup

Wonder if he'll try to talk Baker out of his #7.

Sorry Ryne. Looks like you're not coming back.

Doubled up his college number.

I hate 70 numbers on defensive ends.

(the 90s are all taken, though some of those guys may not last)

Kinda glad Claussen didn't take #17. That would have been weird.

I believe 90 is available, he should of taken that...

WR numbers not in the 80s annoy me for some reason.

No one wants 84, 85, or 86 (don't think 87 will be used again)?

I hope it gets used again, lol it was my number and for some reason my favorite m=number, we need another good WR to pick it up, but I wonder if jeff king will go back to 87?

Take a string, make a copy of it, add it to the initial string. By "string" I mean string in computer terms.

I'm assuming he used to have #1?
