Free agency, phase three is underway. And there are some decent players available.

Former Jaguars defensive tackle John Henderson shouldn't have trouble getting a job, and has already received interest from the Giants, according to the New York Daily News.

Still, they aren't his most aggressive pursuers. Henderson will visit the Chiefs first.

New York has a ton of defensive tackles on the roster after drafting Linval Joseph in the second round, but they may be trying to get rid of one. NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reported Monday that the Giants almost dealt Barry Cofield to the Saints during the draft for a second-day pick.

Big Blue's defensive overhaul doesn't appear done yet.

The Lions were the latest to lighten their roster Monday, but there were no big names involved.

John Niyo of the Detroit News reports that the Lions cut running back Cedric Peerman, cornerback DeAngelo Smith, defensive tackle Terrance Taylor and wide receiver Michael Ray Garvin .

Smith was a 2009 fifth-round pick by the Cowboys. Peerman was a sixth-round pick of the Ravens last year out of Virginia.
