WTF? Never ever heard this. It's a tourist town through and through.

Atlanta does have it's homosexual presence. Everyone knows that other than San Fran, Atlanta has a very flaming population.

As someone who lived in Asheville for three years, I've got to say he's right.

I want to make it clear I have no problem with it, but Asheville has a huge homosexual population. You may not see it just riding down the Blue Ridge parkway or visiting Biltmore, but trust me it's there.

Complete BS. No idea why people get that crazy idea.

What is your experience with Asheville?

Well, I own a house here for one thing.

Maybe I've lived in bigger cities or something, but I just don't see it. Heck, I work in the Federal building right next to the one notable gay club, and the gay population is no more noticable per capita than I've seen in Charlotte, Seattle, hell even Boulder, Florence, Columbia, etc.

Honestly, I just don't get where the idea comes from. Must just be people equating liberal with gay-friendly. But even so, step one mile outside of downtown and this whole region is as conservative as west Texas.

Albo said the study reflects the mainstreaming of gay people into contemporary American life, noting that Iowa City, Austin, Texas; and Asheville, N.C., have more gays per capita than the major metropolises.

Didn't mean to imply you didn't know Asheville -- I was genuinely curious. You're right, I suppose, about parts of the area being pretty conservative outside of downtown Asheville proper.

I know on campus at UNC Asheville (which I'm sure isn't representative of Asheville as a whole), there was a large population of gay students (male and female), as well as lots of GLBT clubs and events.

Like I said, it doesn't bother me a bit -- but I just think Asheville really is the San Fran of the east. :P

Look at you all getting defensive.

1) people here most definitely created threads about Matt Ryan after he was drafted

2) this board would be filled with clauen hate and "clausen is a feg" threads if he had been drafted by the falcons or any division rival for that matter

ure such a feg

You do know that we have three threads open about this very subject, right? :P

No disrespect BB but the other threads are about what number he pick. This Post is about how the falcon fans are dissing him for picking Matty Ice #. Plus it's in a thread about how falcon fans are already getting a complex from a QB who hasn't taken a snap in the league yet.
