Fox isn't going anywhere

Either his job is safe or he is a completely unselfish person who isn't trying to cover his ass so he can save his job.

The facts are there to support a few scenarios.

Either he is putting the franchise before himself, he really believes he will be here next year or someone else is calling the shots on draft day and completely ignoring him. You don't draft a QB with your first pick and move up to draft a project WR in the 3rd if you don't plan on sticking around. I tend to believe he knows he will be coaching in Carolina for the next few years.

Fox never calls the shots on draft day.

Fox and Hurney call the shots together. They reach a consensus with the director of scouting and the assistant coaches before making every pick

And neither Fox nor Hurney acted like they were going anywhere, given their actions in the draft.

Fox is a good coach, he needs an owner or GM who will ride his ass (in a gay way) and make him mix things up sometimes. if the organization is conservative from the top down, you're going to have things happen like keeping Jake 2 seasons passed his expiration date. a conservative coach is fine if you've got a progressive owner coaxing him along.

Keep it in the Tinderbox rodeo.

    • Bryce put it in a spot only his guy could get it only for David Moore to drop it. T_T Tremble and Horn both struggled yesterday and that killed me since they're two of my favourite players. Tommy knows he has to come down with this one. Folks were understandably saying that JT would've caught that had he not gotten hurt a few plays earlier. The more I look at this play, the more I think that Bryce made the right decision throwing it out the back of the endzone. He could have tried to laser it in to Thielen, but that safety is lurking awfully close inside. Insuring the field goal here after a 44sec drive to end the half was the right move.
    • Except Bryce was the main reason we were in it
    • NFL Pro has the All-22 up already 😄 Going to grab a play or two from each redzone series to put screenshots to. Looks like AT angled his route off to the near pylon rather than the back corner where Bryce was throwing to. I imagine this is something they'll quickly try to figure out with Thielen back from IR. After watching the All-22 again, this was actually a pretty nifty play. I thought it was a TE screen to Tremble because of the way XL charged the DB, but he quickly shed and kept upfield as seen in the second screenshot. This looks like it had multiple layers built into it with AT running the crosser, XL the fade, Tremble to the flat. The progression would call for the play to go to Chuba here as the LB does follow Tremble out into the flat. Ball hits Chuba low and in the hands, but the LB does a good job disrupting the catch.
