He has 6 wins in 2 YEARS as a starter. He has not a winner in the nfl yet my friend.

This is what everybody means when it comes to flying off the rails about  what bryce has done.

He will not have a real turnaround till he leads the team to a winning season and plays well for an ENTIRE season like every other qb that's considered good in the league. What Bryce did this year is prove to everyone that he can potentially be a good player in the league and that last year and beginning of this year wasnt the perception of him that everybody was settling in on. He did the work to change that and He deserves credit for the turnaround he made in that time he wasn't playing because that was a huge mental challenge but when it comes to settling in among the top players in the league nobody just does that so quickly right off a situation where your career was potentially over or didn't know where it was even going. He still has a lot more to do and it's still a legit question mark if he actually can. Nobody with real sense knows for sure yet because his overall career so far has been extremely down/unsure to gradually moving back up out of nowhere....thats just something that a lot of people have to sit and watch play out first. Rebuilding the defense isn't some simple solution that's gonna lead to success, a lot of fans had the same mindset coming into this season and look where it lead. While we are improving everything else let's not forget this time that Bryce needs to improve himself.

That's a fair and conservative viewpoint. But this is the worst defense in the history of the NFL. And it's only slightly worse than last season. That is a major factor.

One thing I am going to say is I think its silly when people say QBs cant be labeled good until they have a winning season. Cam was good before he had a winning season and lots of other QBs have been too. Winning in the NFL is not just a QB thing. Bryce was legit good week 9 on. I will say he has to keep doing that into next year but its possible he has a good season and Panthers still have a losing record next year

Post benching he was 4-6 and should’ve had wins against Tampa at home and in Philly. We should’ve gone 6-4 in our final 10 thanks to Young

Theres also the KC game that again wasn’t his fault and Young should’ve had a crack at it in OT

All of this with a historically (actually) bad defense and a bunch of JAG’s at WR

We should counts wins vs tampa and philly?  Thats really not how this works.  Playing the what if game.  If theilien doesnt make a crazy catch after bryces batted ball then the drop is a moot point.  See how these things go?

Even in losing a QB can display undisputed traits that signify a franchise player to build around. Cam Newton before his rookie season in a lockout year was routinely talked down as needing a great deal of time to learn the playbook slowly and develop over at least a few years. Instead he opened his rookie season with nearly 1,000 passing yards in his first 2 games and finished with ROTY honors. Completely different situation from what we've found ourselves in. I mean from top to bottom. Almost to the point it's amusing. Cam was doubted continuously predraft. Bryce was hyped continuously predraft and afforded the benefit of the doubt.

So yes with what has transpired across the spectrum over the course of two seasons with Bryce Young the only thing left to evaluate now is can we win with him when it matters. It's not controversial to say this and it certainly isn't hating in any capacity it's common sense.  Let’s all hope by this time next year we're having much more positive conversations about the future of our team that is trending up. That's really the best anyone can say right now.

"Should've would've could've" doesn't mean anything to anybody. Otherwise we would be currently tied with the Buccaneers for most Lombardi Trophies in our division.

It's weird that only the QB carries a record. Everyone else on the roster is simply judged by his own individual play.

Man if could of should of actually counted everybody in the league would be good. Panthers would have a superbowl by now. If we have to dissect after every loss who fault it was then it's clearly not a team sport anymore.

Ha

Right… The Panthers defense let TB tie up game with 30 seconds left before that after Young threw what should’ve been a GW touchdown. These WR’s are supposed to make plays to you know. Some of You forget that

Young threw a perfect pass to Legette for what should have been a game winning touchdown in Philly but yes we’ll say Bryce can’t win

There’s nothing this kid can do to change some of your minds. Some of you sound ridiculous doubling down and even tripling down on some this dumb sh!t

Ope, the gang is getting back together. 😛

re: Cam's rookie season, let's please stop pretending that Cam came in and did things solo. An OL of Gross/Wharton/Kalil/Hangartner/Bell (Otah went down after the first 4 games)? Who out here really believes that an OL of Ekwonu/Zavala/Bozeman/Jensen/Moton was better? Sanders/Hubbard/Hurst/Tremble/Chark/Mingo/AT is on par with Double Trouble, Olsen, Shockey, and Agent 89?

Cam was excellent and worth the #1 overall pick. We don't need to lie on his teammates just to continue whatever hate is still held on to for Bryce.

Cam Newton is the only MVP in franchise history. No there isn't anyone arguing he had no help. But he was the engine of the team and the team more often than not went as he went. That is generally always how it has been for the QB position and that isn't going to change.

But even with Cam for all the talk of his weapons his best most consistent weapon was his TE Greg Olsen. And Greg Olsen himself credits Cam immensely for his career.

There you go back to diminishing guys like Chuba Hubbard to run cover for Bryce. How is that helping anything here? You look just as ridiculous as those you criticize.

This year is the big year for young.  Panthers have had several qbs that have played well for 5 or 6 games.  Matt moore kyle allen andy dalton(had highest passing yardage game 2023 and 2024) taylor heinicke.  Young is playing better and if he continues throihht 2025 panthers have a qb but to be sold on him already would be craziness.
