I still have the same opinion of Bryce as I did when we drafted him.

I like his potential and think he can be a franchise QB but also think he can easily be a bust.

I certainly haven't changed it as he has had more bad than good.

But I like the improvement I saw at the end of the season.

Ultimately, we wont know how Bryce will turn out until after 5 years for us.

Hell, even then he could be traded and play great (see Darnold or Mayfield)

Blows my mind how people try to claim XYZ about a player after a few games.

I don't understand how it's annoying to expect a full season great play. Doesn't every great qb get that status by putting together a full season of stellar play? Since when does a couple games determine how great you are? especially when that guy is coming off just a absolutely bad season from start to finish. There is a long list of qbs you can reference in that same situation.

Alot of fans won't accept this at all its hard to even get this sort of point out of your mouth without immediately being called a hater and fake fan lol

And don't get me started on all the fans who vehemently said you can't compare stroud and Bryce in 2023 because their situations were too different. And now those same fans can not get cj out of their mouth and keep posting that Bryce has better stats than cj for the last half of this year while ignoring cjs rookie year and the Stat comparisons of their whole careers instead of that one time period where Bryce has been doing well lately

If he can do any of those things, I'll be an official believer. If he can do multiple then that's a bonus.

I'm just leery from how everyone has pivoted hard on Bryce multiple times for the most part. To being hard for stroud when we traded for the pick initially, to all in for Bryce once it became obvious we were picking him, to saying he's ass in his first 18 games and borderline hating him, to now saying he's basically Jesus Christ for playing well in the last half of year 2

There's just no middle ground for most people. If you're not riding the wave of whatever the popular sentiment is about Bryce among the Fandom at any given time, most fans will berate you and hurl all sorts of bullshit at you just because you don't have the common opinion.

Now that he has done a turn around that no other young QB has ever done, everyone is going to hold onto whatever else they can hold on.

As long as the defense gets rebuilt, which is number 1 for improving the team around him...

Never stopped believing in him, but was definitely concerned after those first two games.

Nice to be able to root for the kid and not be trolled by the Bryce haters after the season ended.

I'm taking into account Canales opening up the playbook by a large margin at the end of the season. Teams may have gotten caught off guard and are going to study it going forward.

This is what everybody means when it comes to flying off the rails about what bryce has done.

He will not have a real turnaround till he leads the team to a winning season and plays well for an ENTIRE season like every other qb that's considered good in the league. What Bryce did this year is prove to everyone that he can potentially be a good player in the league and that last year and beginning of this year wasnt the perception of him that everybody was settling in on. He did the work to change that and He deserves credit for the turnaround he made in that time he wasn't playing because that was a huge mental challenge but when it comes to settling in among the top players in the league nobody just does that so quickly right off a situation where your career was potentially over or didn't know where it was even going. He still has a lot more to do and it's still a legit question mark if he actually can. Nobody with real sense knows for sure yet because his overall career so far has been extremely down/unsure to gradually moving back up out of nowhere....thats just something that a lot of people have to sit and watch play out first. Rebuilding the defense isn't some simple solution that's gonna lead to success, a lot of fans had the same mindset coming into this season and look where it lead. While we are improving everything else let's not forget this time that Bryce needs to improve himself.
