A pro bowl selection or a playoff win would go a long way to make everyone believers.

I have been totally against Bryce from the start and wanted Stroud.  If the Panthers are in the playoff picture come mid December and Bryce is a big part of it, I will forget all about Stroud

Crazy to think that it took him being benched and humbled to turn it around. Only concern I have is if he somehow reverts back to week 1 & 2 next season. But impressed with the way he played after his benching in every game, outside of the Cowboys games where pretty much everyone on the team looked like ass.

Yeah, I mean I think for me, the 5 TDs was very impressive, but 21 total TDs over 12 games started indicates a decent-to-high level offensive production, especially given the circumstances (defense, mainly). So reason to be optimistic, but like you say, others have given reason for optimism before and not delivered in the longer term.

Fwiw, I could see Daniel Jones having a resurgence elsewhere - if he isn't broken anyway.

I am more interested in his efficiency and cutting down on the turnovers.  The Dallas game was bad, mainly because they were getting pressure straight up the middle, but other than that, after his benching, he threw the ball well, and gave us a chance to score.  The offense as a whole became more productive when Bryce came back.

In truth, I felt the New Orleans game was one of his most impressive games as a starter.  The stats don't look as great,  but he threw well under pressure. And took us into Saints territory three times during the second half.  86 Yard drive for a td and 59 yard drive for a td.  Chuba ran it in for both td's, but Bryce played very well in getting us there.  And the third time was a interception when Bryce made a fantastic throw, and XL had the ball ripped out of his hands by the defender.  Have to admit that was the first time in Bryce's time with Carolina that I felt positive about Bryce.

Just curious to see what the arguments are if you don't believe in him. I have never seen a turnaround like this tbh, a player that looked so lost and bad turn to a guy who looks and has the confidence of a star.

I guess it depends on what the actual belief is…

worth the pick? Will be a top 5 QB? A solid starter? And on and on.

end of the day he has a small handful of promising games.  NFL history is a full of dudes that had that….and you then can follow the different paths all over the map

During this season my dial started at “Wait and see but not at all optimistic”. Then after two games the dial went to “Experiment failed time to move in another direction”. Now, post benching the dial is at “wait and see but very optimistic”.

He now looks like a legit starter and may be the long term answer. I’m proud of the young man’s determination and resiliency and he deserves to be the starter next year. Would still like to see him progress further but things are moving in the right direction for sure.

Matters more if the team believes in him than what people here think. They are saying he's their guy, which means continuing with the type of moves we did last offseason to get more out of him. Higher expectations for Bryce requires higher expectations of the organization.

Depends how you define "believe in." He improved a ton post-benching but that improvement still did not yield franchise QB level play in my eyes. I certainly "believe" he could continue to develop and improve and maybe get to being a franchise QB. But as it sits right now I still don't think it's super likely that he will be our answer at QB long term. I hope he does and am rooting for him. But I do believe there are physical and skill limitations that could hold him back, and as much as he did improve he still has a long way to go to actually being a top QB. He's shown enough that I am ok going into next year with him as our QB, but we should still evaluate other opportunities to get a franchise QB if they are there. Although really unlikely for various reasons I would consider drafting Ward and trading Bryce away. Otherwise I don't like the QBs in the draft or FA/trade options so Bryce it is for another year anyways.

At this point, its important for him to put together a full season of good play. No more benching, no blaming the roster and coaching staff. He will be in his 3rd year, you have to build off what you did the second half of the season and show no more regression because you have clearly shown some form of success with the situation not excellent. We shouldnt end up going into year 4 having the same conversations and questions. If thats the case then punt the whole thing and start over.

His pocket presence, ability to avoid pressure and ability to stay calm and deliver the big throw is a total 180 from his first 18 games and makes me believe he can work himself into a perennial top 10 QB

Like I have no clue how he was able to fix that so quickly. There are QB's who have been in the league 5+ years and haven't figured that out (Darnold)

Bryce has earned another year but he has had like 5 good games in 2 years.  Would be crazy to be 100% sold on him.  Need to see him lifting the rest of the team up throwing 300 yard multiple td games and some playoffs.   As i stated in another post andy dalton passed for thr most yards in a game this year and had the highest qb rating in a game this year then fell apart.  An offseason of teams with film on young and how he responds next year will be telling.
