Moore stinks it up this season

I wish some team that wasn't Carolina would hire Cowher so dumbasses would stop making asinine threads about bringing in a coach who would do the same crap as the guy we have now.

Then threads would just be made about your mother or her corpse, whichever is pertinent.

First of all, it's not likely that Moore gets a chance to stink it up this season. If he has one or two really bad games, he'll be yanked for Clausen.

Second, if the Panthers do have a terrible season, and if Fox is gone, then the next coach will likely be another assistant that's ready to be promoted. We've gone that route twice with Capers and Fox and in both cases had tremendous success in their second year. We went with a previously successful coach once, with the most successful coach in history, and ended up 1-15 after a few years. Richardson has learned, and won't repeat that mistake.

1. I don't think they're planning to play Clausen much this season. If Moore stinks it up or gets injured, Fox will probably turn to a veteran, first.

2. Secondly, if Fox is gone, there is no way they don't go after Cowher. It's the job that Cowher wants, which Shannon Sharpe ribbing Cowher on national television about the Carolina job absolutely proves. The Panthers know it, probably wanted Cowher last season, but weren't going to fire Fox after the last few games.

It is nice to think that we will have options this year. I expect Moore to do very well this year. But if not we have someone who can gain good experience for down the road in Clausen. I would think with his job on the line, Fox would be bringing in a veteran unless he really believes the hype about Cluassen being in Weiss's pro set for four years and being NFL ready. I figure this isn't his first rodeo so he might pick someone up. Moore will have lots of competition but should be the starter. He has delivered when it mattered which is in a game. Everyone is just filled with unrealized potential. Sad to say but right now Moore is the seasoned veteran.

It is funny that the same thought crossed my mind when I saw how many quarterbacks we had drafted. This is just what Gruden would do. And frankly if we kept Meeks on defense I would take Gruden as the head coach. He has spend his time away from football studyig the spread offense variations for when he returns to coaching. He is a student of the game and will learn from his time in Tampa. I also think he would love the talent on this team. I have always liked him even when he was in Tampa Bay. Hated the Bucs but liked him.

If we make a change, he would be at the top of my list.

People who actually have access to team ownership would tell you there's zero chance of them hiring Cowher, even if Fox is out next year. It's just not happening. People really need to get over it.

As to the QB, trhere's no veteran on the roster, nor is there likely to be. The only way they could add one is by clearing a roster spot. The team is not carrying four quarterbacks.

Pretty scary if you ask me when your starter has 8 games under his belt and the rest of the guys have none. Moore better be sturdier than he looks and our line better protect him this year. We can't afford for him to play poorly or get hurt. All of these quarterback picks have painted us into a corner.

I'd have preferred a veteran option, but barring a trade it's not at all practical now. At this point, Moore is the veteran option.

(and no, Matt Moore isn't being traded)

That would be considerably better and offer much more intelligent dialog than this pile of poo you created.
