i think we all kinds of win that. i don't know much about tampa bay's players, but it looks like they did ok from a glance. new orleans! we're coming for you! yeeeeeeeeeew!!

New Orleans did literally nothing to improve themselves compared to the other three teams.

TB had an excellent draft. Their d-line in the next few years is going to be flat out scary.

The Saints didn't have to improve much, they mostly added depth. Robinson is going to be the #3 CB after moving Malcolm Jenkins to FS. Charlie Brown is going to probably replace Jammal Brown (after he's traded). Jimmy Graham is going to eventually replace Shockey. Al Woods is going to probably compete for the starting spot next to Sedrick Ellis. Matt Tennant will probably take over for Jonathan Goodwin in the center spot after next season and Sean Canfield is just a QB prospect Sean Payton can work with.

The Saints didn't have to improve much

The worst thing you can do in today's NFL is remain static. Whether they needed to improve or not, they should have done more than build the bench. All that does is allow you're competition to catch up.

Granted, I'm not against their apparent lack of improvement mind you...

Time will only tell but my knee-jerk reaction is that Tampa may regret this draft.

McCoy is one of those players that I have no idea how people got so high on. I think that in the search for the #2 DT behind Suh somehow people got overly excited about him. He will probably have a good career but usually DT lacking upper body strength do not fair well. Also with the lack of talent on that DL he is going to be double teamed without consequence.

Which leads to Brian Price. I like this pick more than the McCoy pick. However, now TB has two DT's on the small side and this one has motivational issues. I just don't see how they are going to stop the run at all with these two. In pass protection neither one of them is big or strong enough that a guard can not handle them. McCoy may be quick enough to force the center to "chip".

They may on occasion cause some problems for opposing OL's but I don't think they are going to be the force everyone seems to think that they are.

I think we definitely had the best draft out of the division. We got great value for our picks (Edwards is debatable - good player, slight reach) and we filled our needs. Tampa got some players on defense and Atlanta got some depth on the OL. New Orleans won the Super Bowl last year and are considering not even playing this season so I don't think they put very much effort into the draft.

Not knocking the guys they picked, but like you said it just seemed they were more interested in building depth than improving on starters. Which seems weak when you have to consider that they have the biggest targets on their backs.

Nothing dammit! I'm a Panther fan!!!

I'm not saying there is a specific area they needed improvement in, just saying they didn't make moves that caused improvement. They are relying on players that everyone has already seen.

Lets also remeber that tampa due too them sucking had better picks then any other team in this division. I still would say they had the best draft but they had more too work with. Good move too get Benn.
