Wow, your right O'Hanlon is pretty damn good, he kinda reminds me of former NY Giant DB Jason Sehorn. He show's great awareness, has got 20/20 field vision and show's a nose for the ball in zone coverages. He also appears to be a SOLID tackler and could possibly serve as a secret weapon blitzing in certain passing situations. Wonder why no one picked this kid up??? :confused:

Also, does anyone know if SS Darian Stewart has been picked up yet. Was really hoping to see him make it on to a roster somewhere.

Everything you said about O'Hanlon is correct. I never saw him miss a tackle his senior year and he has an incredible knack for always being in the right place. He always took great angles to the ball, and he was the best open field tackler on the team. Nebraska had three defensive players taken in the draft, and I thought he was better than two of them.

He had to overcome similar obstacles when he came to Nebraska. He had to try out for the team, and made it as a walk on after running a 4.5 forty. No one really believed in the guy, and he proved everyone wrong.

Biography: Two-year starter who finish with 64/5/4 as a senior after 52 tackles the prior year.

Positives: Aggressive run-defending safety best up the field. Effectively diagnoses the action, displays a burst of closing speed, and throws his body around the action to make the tackle. Explosive against the run, displays good overall awareness and wraps up tackling.

Negatives: Lacks top speed to the sidelines. Struggles in coverage and beaten by tight ends.

Analysis: O?Hanlon is a hard-working and productive college defensive back who lacks the measurables to play at the next level. He could make in a zone system if he produces on special teams.

Having not payed much attention to the Big 12 the last couple of year's I had't heard of this kid, but after watching the highlight reel that cornhusker posted, I'm a big fan!

Here's another good video on Matt, and it should give you some background. Don't pay much attention to the Va-tech part. The cb on the play never started again, so O'Hanlon wasn't the only person to blame.
