Greg is an excellent combination of size and athleticism. He has the ability to defend the run effectively when he keeps his pads down and gives effort but is inconsistent in this area. Greg is a solid reactor that finds the ball quickly and maintains leverage on the edge. He has good range when he decides to play hard but his motor doesn't always run hard. Hardy doesn't appear to have enough athleticism or versatility to contribute as a stand up defender but is talented and could be an excellent starter as a 4-3 defensive end. Durability, toughness and consistent effort are concerns.

What are the odds of him challenging for a starting spot?

I would imagine he probably won't get a starting spot over Brown, Brayton, or Johnson. But he could definitely see some playing time.

we'll have a hell of a rotation if this guy can play.. i havent seen much of him but he sounds like he can be decent as a rotation guy

I think he will do good for us in rotation, Hilee taylor is smaller and was never projected as a first rd pick at any point lol

I think anything after the 2nd is a great value for drafting Julius Peppers.

I don't think he's close to the athletic freak that Peppers is. He might be as fast as Pep, but Peppers is 6-7 and can probably leap over a small car.
