You Matt Moore zealots are really hilarious.

I am not anti Moore or pro Clausen in this situation.

Theoretically, Moore has the better shot at starting, being that he has the edge in experience. But if Clausen is the more physically talented and gifted QB, then JC deserves a shot to prove that he is mentally prepared to be the starter. Neither Moore or Clausen (especially Moore) should be awarded the starting spot by default.

In the end, I really don't give a damn, as long as I see a good decision maker who can throw an accurate pass. If it's Moore, great. If it's Clausen, wonderful. Why hate either situation? It's what's best for the team that matters, and in a situation where important parties' jobs could ultimately hinge upon who starts, I am guardedly confident that they will make the right decision.

As loyal as Fox was to Jake I highly doubt that he would just give Clausen the starting gig. Moore will have his chance, Fox and Hurney have never been the type to undermine their own players like that. Clausen and Pike were BPA on their board. And I'm willing to bet that if Moore continues where he left off last season that it will be Clausen getting traded. They will keep the sure fire answer QB rather than get rid of Moore just to let JC play.

thats the whole point, I think now that he saw how wrong he was with Delhomme that he wont hesitate to pull Moore out on the first dumbass reason (not that there will be any reasons) but it's just bullshit cuz the media will be calling for Clausen as well and moore has done nothing but good for us

Moore has the experience and the knowledge at this point over Clausen. He'll at least be the starter for the first half of the season. If he bombs they'll make a switch after the bye; if he plays okay they'll have another open competition next year; if he turns into the "franchise quarterback" then we'll have a solid backup to trade in Clausen.
