I think they already have. Just need to keep developing. We're not just talking about young WRs. We're talking about rookies.

XL is miles away from a "bust" conversation, but the fact is down the stretch he was outplayed by and trusted less than the UDFA WR on the roster.

To be fair that UDFA may become the steal of the year. Coker may very well be a stud.

He played 5x better than I thought was going to happen and I was a draft Ladd lad.

 

For fugs sakes give him a off-season huddle, remember he was injuried for most of this past, that set him back plenty. Hes a rookie!!! I believe he corrects a few of his issues this coming year, if there's one group this staff knows its WRs. HC Dave was a WR coach for years, OC brad was TBs WR coach, and the current WR coach is a HOFer and proven coach as well. They have all the skills for this group.

      It was definitely a pretty spiral and a great throw for a non-QB, but I wouldn't say he dropped it in the bucket.  Sanders had to slow down quite a bit to wait on it as it did have a lot of air on it.  It was exactly the type of floater that Bryce would've gotten criticized for, but we're talking about a 1st overall QB vs. an undrafted WR so it's more than justified to assign a double standard here lol.  It was an impressive enough throw that I think we can definitely add a few more trick plays in the playbook for him.  I think it was a nice play design too.

      As if him being currently employed actually prevents anything... come on now. That's exactly why there wouldn't be anything publicly known, but we aren't naive enough to think that the conversations like that don't take place. They absolutely do, and quite often, in one way or another. It's the same thing with fans declaring "Why didn't we talk to So-and-So player?!?" when they sign with someone else; in many cases preliminary conversations took place, it was just clear it wasn't going to work and there was no upside to either party disclosing that. Exact same thing that happens in every business and industry in the world. With respect to Evero, I've never been a big fan and don't like the kind of scheme he runs (which is not exclusive to him or Carolina these days). I do believe/am willing to give the benefit of the doubt that if Canales and Morgan (or any other staff in this situation) thought a better option was available and viable at this time, they explored it before this particular news about Evero staying came out.
