Legette 18th ranked 1st rounder

Interesting take...

"Legette had an opportunity to disrupt the seeding in the NFC playoffs in the final minutes of a battle against the Eagles in Philadelphia but dropped the potential game-winning touchdown in that contest. Drops (eight) plagued the former South Carolina star. As expected, he was a force after the catch, with eight forced missed tackles on just 49 receptions"

2nd lowest ranked receivers.  Only player lower barely played all year due to injury (and still basically outplayed Legette lol)

Hopefully he makes a big step next year. We did see flashes this year, and I'm hoping the drops get better when his wrist is fixed.

Going from 32 to 18 is a major compliment. If you put any credence in the list he raised his stock more than any other receiver in round 1 with 14 spots.....tied with Worthy.

Correction. Brian Thomas Jr was the biggest jump by a significant margin.

The thing that impressed me the most about his game this season was his route running and ability to get open.

He's already using his frame and agility to his advantage, he doesn't play small until the ball gets near him, then the alligator arms come out and he tries to body catch. He dropped a ton of balls, but he was also open enough to drop them. Hopefully getting his wrist fixed and then an entire offseason on the Jugs machine can help him out.

xl Should be compared to Keon Coleman and McConkey vs any of the first round receivers (and specifically Coleman due to the pick swap)

Coleman is a tossup. McConkey certainly looks like the better pick currently but I’d argue he was in a much better position this year with stability at the qb position.

Sure for Coleman, but I don't agree re: McConkey. Ladd is a slot guy while XL + Keon are outside WRs.

    • Corbett knows he needs to take a prove it deal and I think he will.  I watched an interview and he was convincingly adamant he wants to stay.  Two different injuries in two years was bad luck.  It's not like it was the same thing.  He knows the game and figures to end his career in a place where he is happy.  You can't really compare how Bryce did with Mays compared to AC.  AC was hurt week 5.  Bryce was on the bench after week 2 and didn't return until week 8. Mays is basically under team control next year as a RFA.  We could offer the right of first refusal for 3m.  I'd offer a 2 year deal which averages a little higher so you can manipulate the cap on his deal.  Additionally, I'd resign Corbett to a team friendly deal.  Many forget he has positional versatility like BC.  Corbett is only one year older, is two inches shorter, about 10 pounds heavier, and has arms that are one inch longer.  Corbett has played LT in college and guard/center in the NFL.  Ideally, bring back all three, but if BC gets big time $$$ AC and CM can battle for center and the other becomes a swing lineman. If we cut bait on Yosh Nijman we may be able to keep all three.  I'd sign up for that in a heartbeat.
    • As fans, we often exaggerate how bad our team owner is because we are so invested and focused on our team. We don't really see how bad other team owners, like Woody Johnson or Robert Kraft, because we are focused on the Panthers.
