Call me crazy but I think they can get by with Tremble and Sanders as long as they stay healthy, assuming they resign Tremble. They need another for injury insurance for sure but I see it as 90% set for now. You are spot on with the rest.

The last few games (scoring 30+) showed that--and you have to think Sanders will be improved in year 2.  We could use an elite TE, in my view, to give Bryce another weapon, but it does seem to be more of a luxury than necessity at this point.  I don't see but about 3-5 TEs in the draft that would move the needle here, and I think we have seen signs of player development on the roster at a level we have not seen before in Carolina.

The plan this year was to find out if Bryce was our guy, establish a culture, and build the identity of this team. I'd say we accomplished our goal. Now of course Bryce didn't start off the season as we hoped but I respect the leadership of this team to not panic and to stay the course.

I think that's debatable if that was really the plan going into this year.  I mean, they benched him a mere 2 games into the season.  That doesn't scream they were really trying to invest a lot of time into figuring it out with him.  Injury brought him back to the table.  And I think we choose to remember the past a little different.  I mean, if you go back in time all the tea leaf reading around here was Canales was done with him and never really wanted him.

as far as Canales at the podium? Saying of course we were going to try to get another look at him.  If Dalton played well and stayed healthy? I think reasonably that might of meant to give him a game or so at the end.

I mean, I just refuse to believe we are now smartly run because they sort stumbled into a Young redemption at the end of the season.  I think the team had moved on until Andy's injury re-opened the door.

From what we know of all his endeavors, nothing about Tepper entities says they are well run.  I'm not falling for that because of a couple weeks of football.  I mean we were finally a big boy and smart run team heading into the Frank Reich era too lol.

As long as Tremble isn't asking for too much money, he can stay.

Maybe it was just my eyes but it looked like Sanders was asked to make a fair amount of blocks, something I believe was something he didn't really do in college. I'm hoping this is bona fide proof we are done with Ian Thomas.

When Morgan had his end of season presser, he said they had a plan to eventually get Bryce back on the field this season. Took the media there by complete surprise because Morgan thought Canales has already told them about this.

I think there is enough to show the team sort of accepted they were moving on.....but then the unpredictable just happened.

Morgan basically saying the only thing he can say at this point.

but yeah, I think they stumbled upon the Bryce redemption more than anything.  If Dalton played okay and stayed healthy...Bryce might of got a token game at the end (which is what you generally see around the league).

I'm definitely not buying were are suddenly a smart and well run team.  Part of 1 seasons is going to sale me on that when you got so much backing the opposite under Tepper.  Including different windows where we falsely assumed we were no longer a poorly run org.

I really like Canales offense.... I can see what hes trying to do, its a modern 2025 rendition....not a Rivera, Rhule, and damn sure not a Reich offence. We just need the players to execute it...and I don't think we're not far off...with Coker, Thielen and If XL can forget about the Coon, opossum and rabbit meals, and put in some work into getting better it can be exciting. Chubba's a fkin rock and we need to find a compliment for him...not ***** Sanders!!!!.... I like the Oline work but...Icky needs to step up big..... Of course the defense is the elephant in the room... this draft needs to be 80% defensive dawgs, as Morgan says. The Brooks pick was BFKINSHT last year and he needs to do better...RB's are a dime a dozen, why pick someone on IR.... im' pulling for him but he has a mountain to climb. We gonna find out about Morgan this next draft, is he gonna put a stamp on this franchise or be Fitt 2.0. I m.ean the man played the game....he should know

Moving on would’ve been trading him when we had the chance like we did with Diontae. I mean, this is the same organization that dumped Mayfield to the street midseason for playing poorly. Yes, Dalton getting in a car accident may end up being that dumb luck moment, but given our recent history, I'll give them a bit of credit for not taking the expected exit ramp of giving him to someone else for the last best offer we probably would've gotten. At least at the time, that move would not have surprised me.

I'd add in backup RB. Otherwise, Miles is the best option there but I fear he could be a cap casualty. Of course they could get by with just a guy like Blackshear and Boone, but another playmaking receiving RB would lowkey add another receiving threat without adding an actual receiver or TE. Canales likes to incorporate RBs into the passing game but that just isn't really Chuba's forte.

I could behind that. There's a couple in the draft that I would not mind getting one of them.

Yep. And very deep too. We're talking rounds 5-6 that could be legit contributors.

I know i will catch hell for this but my favorite is Cam Skattebo. Not the fastest but the toughest and hardest to tackle rb I have seen in recent memory. He can also catch. Love his attitude and determination. He's a Dan Morgan guy if there ever was one.

I'm still not buying that.  The whole fool me once thing.  Really the whole sales job of us now being a stable and competent is basically half of a season.

and do we really have a plan? Sure seems like they had a plan this year.  And Bryce forced them to go to a plan B for the near future when he got a chance.

I honestly thought Frank, the all-star cast, and rookie BY could content for the NFC south title(run the ball lean on dfense stopping), thus made the play-offs I gave them like a 25% chance, just didn't realize the over all lack of talent even with the FA signees.

Now there are some good areas- OL and the OL staff. Chubba. There's a young group of pass catchers that proved they are capable- Coker, sanders and yes XL. Draft capital is back and have 8 picks in the first 160 or so spots(right when the talent falls off). Horn stayed healthy for nearly the whole year(I think if playoffs, horn would still be out there). Defense can only go up after a season of no Dbrown, shaq, and many others missing games.

Not that I think they can double up wins next year, but finally there is some form of team here.  Dave, Dan, Evero, and BY all have youth and are showing the talents too. All got better this year and there's still plenty of room to continue.
