This is why the tanking discussion is so fuggin dumb. Other NFL players aren’t message board losers like we are they want to see winning. They could care less if we pick 6 or 8. Going out with a huge splash this season is massive for us going into the offseason

The fact of the matter is that the draft is more popular than the games for a lot of people.

We need defensive help too bad to give up #8. Pull off some Kevin Costner poo...

1. Trade down with Dallas, go to 12 and pick up their 2nd.

2. Trade two 2nds this year for Garrett Wilson

3. Draft whichever Georgia Edge/End is at 12.

Profit

Literally makes no sense when T-Mac is going to be the better player, he’s younger, and would be on a rookie contract

Just think of it the other way around, if the Jets have the 7th and 8th pick after trading Wilson and T-Mac is there, it means they’re taking him.

why would we want to be on the end of the deal that gets the player with a lower ceiling, is older, and will cost more money over the next 4 years?

the only advantage Wilson has over T-Mac might be during his rookie year while he gets used to the NFL game, but by year 2 it won’t even be a debate who is better.

T-Mac will be a Top 5 WR by the time he needs his 2nd contract, I’m 100% convinced of it

Just a question would you trade #8 for Wilson and #42?  I would

I would. Wilson and 42 will make more of an impact than anyone we would get at number 8 would next year.  Definitely wouldn't be my starting offer but I'd do it

Incredibly high on Jalon Walker + Malaki Starks. If the team misses out on Graham/Carter/Johnson and lands one of those two I'm going to still be happy.

Going to be doing a lot of diving into the Georgia, Penn State, Ohio State, and Michigan defenses in preparation for this draft. 😄

gdi I gotta quit opening up so many tabs before I've had coffee. Meant this for a different thread. -_-

For this thread tho:

If the price is right, go get GW! I'm not high on TMac. Great size, but I've got to go see Arizona's games and see why he wasn't taking over. Could've been more of an issue with the offense he was in?

    • Josh Allen and Joe Burrow are in the same quadrant as Bryce on the chart.    Nice try.
    • Right, I think.  The problem with a veteran backup qb is they make $$$.  Several backups in the NFL right now make $6-8 million.  Good work if you can get it--I am interested in your idea--I mean Brock Purdy was one pick away from this. Most of the available backups this year are not going to save your season should your starter go down--so why not get a young guy who is motivated instead of some older person who failed and is now half coach, half mentor, half player--(never was good with fractions).
